Strickland has no power in them fists, and his technique is rather unsophisticated.

One could surmise that a polished technical striker, a modern day ninja with an array of powerful kicks and above average ability to dictate range and an extremely lethal ground game would be too much for him.

But he will still probably KO Luke with a left hand. Luke has a habit of taking them on the ol' chinny chin chin.

The attention thing is a good observation.

He also has a really shitty sloppy lazy jab. He paws it out there sometimes as a range finder, but he doesn't bring it back quickly and he has gotten smashed with left hands for all of his highlight real KOs. He also doesn't hold his right hand high enough when he is in a high guard position or move his head off the center line.

Basically his boxing fundamentals are dogshit.

Strickland could take advantage of this. He fights almost completely squared up so he can throw pretty much a left cross, particularly if he implemented a basic shifting step like what Masvidal used to KO Darren Till.

Luke's KO losses:

Yoel - left overhand

Bisping- Left hook

Jan - left hook.

Not gonna lie, I'm really hoping to see Luke get knocked the fuck out once more.
 
Either you're in or you're out. Changing the mind and wanting to regain past glory when older rarely works out. It's a commitment thing. Chose other things. Luke's not been a top guy for years now. But wants to be. While Strickland's been active and entering contention.

It's also that Luke's weakness throughout his run has been inside boxing. Sean brings that.

Bisping is the best in the business at what he did which was talk shit. Not Chael, not Conor. I am a huge GSP fan and loved seeing him finish Bisping but him making fun of Georges is still funny as hell lol
