if he cross face sprawled he could have had the anaconda in a dominate position instead of rolling into a neutral position. maybe he did that to keep us entertained. it was a poor shot and the poor shot was poorly defended.
Weidman will crush this guy.

I dont think that is correct. First, the shot is actually pretty good because he never even gave Luke the space and chance to sprawl or stuff it. He grabbed the single quickly and forced Luke to scramble and that was the only thing he could do. What you saw there was pretty much instinct with Luke rolling with it. The defense on that was good because it never let Boetch get the takedown even though he was deep on it and Luke didnt have the chance to sprawl or stuff it.

The whole sequence was solid from both guys. Boetch got in on that single and the only option was to scramble which is what Luke did. Boetch afterwards was still holding the single after the scramble while Luke was sprawling.
