So I've been lifting regularly for about a month now, and haven't really seen the gains Id hope I would. I basically would go to the gym the same times every day and rep the same weight, so I decided to make this log to force myself to improve and begin to lift more weight.

basically I'm a skinny bastard that just started lifting to increase my strength. I never really lifted before in my life and that's what stopped me from starting - my lifts sucked to the point where I didn't want to take the hit to my pride and start up with shitty numbers. So now I decided to swallow my pride, start lifting and hopefully improve.

6'2, 168 pounds
Currently 195 Pounds.

Good luck dude! Lift hard, eat food...lots. Are you on any certain program?

It's going to take more consistent hard work than that to see real gains.

Thanks man. I'm thinking about trying 5x5 or starting stregnth, however I'm not really sure on a specific program to try.

I'm trying. That's the main reason I'm starting a log - to make sure I'm always trying my hardest and improving every time I go to the gym.

Never worry about how much your lifting. only that your lifting

Welcome to the logs.

Got my weight up to 174..bought a couple pounds of shreeded beef and mixed it with noodles + onions, been munching on that for the past few days and trying to really increase the amount of calories ive been eating. Also might try to add power cleans to my routine sometime, however i have no clue as to proper form besides the youtube videos ive watched :icon_conf

Do them light for a long time before you get the form down. Powercleans are more about technique then strength/power.

Finally figured out how to use leg drive semi-effectively on bench. Saw a video by Dave Tate on the web and was able to put it to good use benching. Im getting big noob gains on my squats and deadlifts, however my OHP and bench are still feeling pretty weak.

Haven't really been updating this log much, its cool coming back after awhile and seeing how much my numbers have gone up though
