Hmm I have heard as much about Siver as most people who headline a fight night card. So I didn't realize this was a thing
 
The hype is already there. You sell what sells. Siver doesn't move tickets unless he fights near Germany, so..
 
It's obvious what they're doing.

They are getting everyone hyped for the event by giving them something to talk about. The topic? How the UFC is overpromoting McGregor.
 
it actually also made Siver more interesting because I know so little about him whereas I've seen McGregor's family and house and so forth. Now he's an ordinary fighter that just starves himself to gain a power advantage.
 
McGregor is fighting Siver? I thought he would just walk out to the cage, shadow box and throw some tornado kicks and shit, then Dana would give him the belt.
 
translation: "We've now realized we fucked up and are now making new promos that feature Siver in them. We'll also cut 5 mins from the countdown show that was just gonna show more Mcgregor to make room for a quick interview with Siver."
