In a recent exclusive interview with BJPenn.com’s Rapid Fire, Larkin gave an update on his current situation. At the moment, he says he’s not sure where he’ll end up, as the UFC has not made any contact with him.

“Oh man. I just sent out applications, man.” Larkin said with a laugh. “No man, I don’t have a job yet. I’m jobless. I’m struggling out in these streets.”

“Nothing [from the UFC] yet,” he continued. “Maybe I’m the black sheep, I don’t know. I knew going into this I was rolling the dice, because before the Magny fight, usually the UFC resigns you after your third fight. They rarely let you go to the fourth fight [on your contract]. So we didn’t see eye-to-eye in the renegotiations after my third fight. So they decided to let me fight out my contract, you know. So I knew I was rolling the dice but I took the chance, and what can I say, I’m a gambler man.”

“I am just patiently waiting.”

Not very encouraging news. Hopefully the UFC reaches out to Larkin soon and he gets paid what he deserves. I think he's a title contender at 170.

It's encouraging to me, I hope Larkin gets paid but if it happens to be by Bellator I won't be any less happier for him. I want the Bellator roster to be as good as Strikeforce was or least feel like it's close to it, and I like the Direction Bellator has been heading in the past year with their signings

Larkin is the worst kind of guy you can let as free agent. He is a contender at 170 and a fan favorite. Plus he is only 30.

I hope someone put big money on him... he is a must watch.

Looks like these new owners are even cheaper than Lorenzo...I didn't think that was possible lol

The guys looks to be on form, it would be a big acquisition for another organisation. I have a feeling there wont be any pay bumps for non champions, we will probably end up seeing a lot more of this.

Me too.

But no more Gracie-Shamrock, Kimbo-Dada fights please.

Larkin is a Hot/Cold fighter IMO, but the chance that he's having a good night makes him must watch for me.

Since dropping to WW, he's been stellar.

I don't miss any Lorenz Larkin fights. He's a must watch IMO.

I may be in the minority in feeling this way,,,,I think Larkin has tremendous potential.

Just another unhappy fighter being added to a growing list.

This guy is potentially a WW champion. He has great skills and a fan favorite style. If the UFC screws this up, the new leadership will really be revealed as inept and fk'n the fans and sport.

We've entered into a phase in MMA where being world class has exactly zero meaning in the UFC.

Rory MacDonald beat the brakes off the current champion in Woodley and the #2 contender in Maia. By any imaginable definition he is one of the best welterweights in the world.

They let that guy go to Bellator. He was paid 50k to show for fighting a war with Robbie Lawler, on PPV, for the world title.

WW is one of the best divisions in Bellator.

Rory
MVP
Lima
Koreshkov (very underrated guy)
Ward (he is not good but fun to watch)
Daley (fun fighter)
Koscheck (has been but big name)

Plus a few good prospects. Add Larkin in there and it only gets better.

Would be nice for him to get paid better and possibly get sponsorship money again like the old days,

But man fuck bellator. They're the cheesiest corniest mother fuckers ever. Vince McMahon may as well start his own MMA promotion it's the same freakshow.

Bruh just give him his money. Would suck ass if he wasn't in the UFC.

would be extremely stupid if they don't renew his contract the guy is good talent
