I grew up with Looney Tunes so I’m a bit biased and I’ll say Looney Toons first. Two great shows though, and there are times I almost pissed myself laughing with the Simpsons on.

Never really liked Looney Tunes. Think it always played second string to the other major animation franchises (mainly Disney) in Sweden. Wasn't as popular, and didn't get as much airplay on TV, which the state had a monopoly on* up until the 1980's.

I prefer Simpsons by far, although naturally not the last ten seasons or so.

The only looney toones that I liked growing up was Taz. Most of them give me a weird creepy vibe, not sure why. Its so different from Simpsons though that it doesn't make sense to compare the two.

89/90 to maybe 2000 is all I can watch. Anything after that just depresses me. I do try to catch any early episodes I can, though. I think 96-98 were the best years.

But classic Looney Tunes is the #1 animated show of all time.

Surprised so many posters here voted Looney Tunes. Yes, The Simpsons has been shit for over a decade now, but the earlier seasons are the epitome of perfectly written comedy.

Looney Tunes was just never funny to me. The animation looks nice but that’s all I can really say about it.

Even garbage simpsons is better than no simpsons..and still better than 99% of tv. The simpsons are such old friends that I don't need them to entertain me, we can just sit and watch TV and its nice. I hope they stay around forever to get us thru the apocalypse
