Looking to buy winning gloves...rakuten or winning usa?

Quick question, Shihtzu.

I'm looking to get a pair of cm-5, but I don't see any listed on Rakuten. Can Steve get any item from Winning's catalog or does he only sell the items listed on Rakuten.

I am sure he does.
Here they are in his shop on JPN rakuten:
http://item.rakuten.co.jp/boxing/371571/#371571

I am not 100% sure whether it is possible to place the order directly there.
The best way is unfortunately to call Mitani first to arrange it because his email communication is... it simply doesn't exist lol He is a nice guy on phone though.

Here is his number: 011 (U.S. exit code) and 81(Japan)-45(Yokohama)-261-3073 (his number).

Thanks for your help, buddy! I was almost too scared to ask. :icon_lol:

I'm gonna give him a call soon.

Willie, if people sound annoyed it's because this is posted in the stickied thread here in this sub-forum

Read this thread and the resources found in the useful links section before making your own if you have a question. Use the search function if you're still out of luck. Now, the search function isn't perfect, it can't search for anything that is three letters or less and it often breaks, but you should always do a search before you post something new. Make sure you check google for relevant results as well.

Should you be unable to find what you are looking for and feel like you need to start a new topic, please do yourself and everyone on the board a favor and be specific with your questions. Give as much detail as possible. For example, if you want to know what MMA gloves to get let us know what you'll be using them for, where you are in the world and what your price range is
.

Most questions have been answered at one time or another and it is easier and considered polite to at least attempt to look for them prior to starting a duplicate thread.
Also, it's a poor idea to report someone and then call posters douche's immediately after (against the rules)

Lets chalk this up as a learning experience and please use the search function and the FAQ sticky thread in the future and don't resort to name calling.

Thanks

The Japanese yen is at an all time low, bows a great time to buy. I got my fg5000 on rakuten and it's been awesome.

Your're always welcome, mate! Surprisingly Mitani on phone is quite nice and easygoing. Emailing him is waste of time I am afraid...

Guys, just (sadly) have to inform Mitani raised the handling fee to 10% (used to be 5%) of the unit price.

Another great thing about him beside poor email communication...

But the actual service itself is still very good and the prices are still the cheapest.

Sorry, but I cannot help myself.

So you, dude, had browsed the threads here before you started the thread and wanted details (like you claim)?
But you got only vague information?

Would you mind then at least read what you are writing?
so im looking to get some lace up 16 oz training gloves, ive come across rakuten before and im just so skeptical, i think to myself...am i receiving and authentic product? how do i know its authentic? why are the gloves so much cheaper in comparison to winning usa...can anyone shed some light on this...would really appreciate it

An absolutely vague post, consists only general, almost rhetorical questions.

Nevertheless, to answer precisely:

Yes, you are recieving authentic product from America-Ya rakuten shop (as you would notice in ANY of the threads here if you read them as you are claiming).

Reading your post I am afraid I do not know how do YOU know it's authentic. But for the most of the people I can suggest few points: 1) everybody here says it is authentic with no exceptions (but you have read this as you claim), 2) America-Ya is a famous shop and for exemple the only JPN Reyes official distributor (as you read in the post on facebook, you claimed you had read), anybody can check it then with Reyes website, 3) anybody experienced with gear, even if bought Winning gloves from Joker on a dark street, would differ Winning from anything else almost immediately, if Winning gloves look and/or feel you the same as Fairtex - do not buy them, you do not need them.

Why are they so cheaper I have posted in this thread and in several threads before, also it is on facebook (you have read it all you say).

As for the light: no, I am afraid, in your particular case nobody can succeed. At least I assume it from your posts here.

EVERYTHING of this has been said many times in many threads, also on facebook. But understanding this requires at least the very basic level of comprehensive reading and logical thinking.

I searched for "Rakuten" and one of the first threads is this one:

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f16/site-authorized-winning-seller-2456475/

The question is nearly identical to yours, and it is answered in the first response in that thread.

If that wasn't enough, the next post is a link to the Custom Winning thread:

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f16/custom-winning-gear-2095639/index6.html

In that thread about half a dozen people ask the exact same question as well, most of the thread is full of pictures of emails from Rakuten and pictures of Winning gloves people bought from the Rakuten shop.

It is 100% legit, there are posts everywhere about it. There's nothing "vague" about them.

Rakuten sells authentic Winning gear mate.

Your kidding right...the first response was a simple yes...and the other post is similar in that sense...i go to ny all the time, full of people whpo sell fake crap, i think im warranted here

Saw it today...Thinking of getting those old style amateur gloves for Fathers day ;-)

Our guy is getting greedy! It is still cheaper than Kazu San though and a lot more options!

Definite troll, asked for advice, got proof and just wanted to flame people.

Exactly. The dude is super greedy actually and pretty arogant.
It's very difficult to succeed in the JPN market so he has to keep the stock prices low (they has to be the same as in his JPN rakuten shop), so he at least robs us on "handling". Luckily he has to keep the shipping actual (again rakuten rules), otherwise we would pay double I guess.

But anyway, he is still the cheapest and still does the job the best.

On the other hand those 10% are a fair price for the great customer service (especially email communication) we get... Gaijins should pay without asking.

Gave him a few chances and ignored the flaming.

Thanks to everyone for staying civil and helpful
