Hey guys sorry if this isn't in the right section but I really couldn't find a better section to put this in...anyway, I read an old thread about training in Philadelphia but I wanted to post my own, just so it would be more updated.

Just a quick look at my background, I started MMA when i was about 13-15 and did it for almost 3 years. but it was done at TSK...

so I quit for about a year, got out of shape even at 17 and started training in the same place again after I started watching UFC. I did it for another year, yeat and a half and stopped again as my classes were almost up and I completely lost interest. Now I am 19, and having been wanting to do it again mainly because I am out of shape for a 6'4 skinny 19 year old.

I have never had a weight lifting session in my life and have never went to work out at a gym or anything. I would just shadow box, do push ups and pull ups, and run on the treadmill all in my basement. i haven't done it all in a while but really want to start again and stick with it cause I want to put forth detication so I can start fighting and maybe (call it a crazy dream) but fight professionally one day.

Trust me though, I'm not clueless...I know only a handful get the huge lifestyle and I'm not doing this to become famous...but at 19 I really have no interest in pursuing my Networking career i did in my trade school...and think this is what I want to do in life.

My and my friend want to start training together, as he used to train in Kung-Fu when he was younger. i have been looking at "Rocco MMA" in NE philly since it is right near where I live. My and my friend checked out "MMA School of Philadelphia" but we left in 30 seconds since it seemed really constricted and kinda shady.

Anyone in the Delaware Valley wanna shade some light on this perhaps? Thanks alot!

Team Balance...miglarese brothers are relson gracie black belts..Great train, good people..They have a web site..just google team balance

i'd check out Regis Lebre Brazilian jiu Jitsu. I've trained alot with Steve Maxwell (who owns the gym) and am currently training with Eduardo Rocha who I believe gave regis his purple belt and then sent him to Royler. I trained with Regis once and he seems very knowledgeable

Balance is a very cool place to train. Great instructors, great competitors, and great atmosphere. TS, why don't you make the rounds some time soon to all the places in Philly (Balance, Daddis, Fight Factory, etc.) and pick the one that fits you best.

I'll check out that Team Balance place, but has anyone heard of good things from the Rocco School? I went there before for a intro class kinda thing cause I was checking it out and it was really cool there.

OH crap! I posted this thread twice in 2 days??

My fault guys, the site was acting up over the weekend and I didnt think it went through.
