I'm looking for a lightweight and breathable gi for the summertime. I've looked at the Vulkan ultralight and the Kingz 420 light V3 and so far Im liking the Kingz but I'd like to keep my options open. Any recommendations?

The Kingz V3 are nice. I have the 450 and really like it. Have you looked at the Charlie by 93 Brand?

i have a black Kingz Ripstop 420 v2, and it's the bees knees...it's light as a feather, but built like a tank. no stretching, sturdy collar, and overall very comfy. I would imagine the white version would be a tad bit lighter...

Awesome. I'd probably get the blue version so I can wash it with my belt. I imagine its like the black. Its not a big difference though right?

Just realized the Charlie was on bjjhq for $100 and couldn't resist buying it. I'll probably end up getting the Kingz 420 in a few weeks anyways.

I think you'll be happy with the Charlie and you can't beat that price. Good thing your size was still available. Please let us know what you think when you get it.

I have a lot of Gis here right next to me! The lightest and very breathable one i would say is the new Hayabusa Lightweight or even the normal Pearl weave and Gold weave, but also the Grips Secret Weapon 2.

Check them out, all details in my signature for the link.

they are very light, breathable and durable.

I just got a Flow Kimonos "Air" Gi, wow, lightweight and very comfortable. My friend has a Gameness air and now wants him a Flow. The Flow air pants are the most comfortable i have ever tried on, literally more comfortable than some pajamma bottoms i have owned.
