Hello fellow grapplers. I am looking for advice in regards to how I am doing -- good and/or bad -- getting these tournament submissions recorded. This particular tournament was a small BJJ one in Las Vegas (Storm BJJ) and my first time using the camera (Canon Vixia HFM40).

Most of the videos are short, so there could be some intimate footage preceding or succeeding a tap. Should the videos have more or less of this? What kind of an effort should I make at getting the names of the competitors? Does it matter? Lastly, one of the videos features yours truly; you should be able to figure out which one it is. Constructive criticism of my performance in that video would be greatly appreciated as well.

Lastly, what do you guys think of the concept? For the bigger competitions (IBJJF, ADCC Pro & Regionals, GQ, et cetera), how soon should I churn out the videos after the event? Does it matter? - E

Second event covered at length was Arizona Open this past weekend; definitely a lot harder to record than smaller competitions. Any constructive feedback of any kind would be deeply appreciated.

Here is Clark Gracie vs Michael Westbrook in the Black Belt Open Quarterfinals. - E
