You might have seen this before...but probably not.

I'm not going to say that I made it up (other than in the title) but it's something that I stumbled onto on my own and have yet to see anyone else teach.

That is completely and totally awesome.

I use something with a similar setup to this, but the way you finish it is 10x better than what I was doing. This is getting used.

Looks solid! Will definitely try next time I'm omoplata'd.

You better come up with a name for it, because I haven't seen it! Patent that. Looks simple and easy to do. Cool.

Silly awesome. I hope to up my omaplata defense as it is.

I will use it and call it he Gerbil Wheel.

very very good and effective. Thanks for sharing the gerbil omoplata defense with turtle roll.

Looks good. Never saw a reversal like that taught before. If they grab your leg, belt, or hip, would it still be efective? Maybe because your legs are strong?

I think it could still work, because the sit through is a very powerful motion. I think it would be hardest if they were grabbing by the ankle due to leverage.

I actually learned this from a friend of mine named Felix. He did it differently though. You seem to have a more refined way of doing it, with less strength needed. The way I did it, is if I was in an omoplata, I would stand up on my opposite leg and lift them up and it would cause my opponent to spin under me.

It was surprisingly easy to do, even on guys bigger than me.

Here is a crude version (usually is done smoother) of me doing it to Samuel Braga a few years ago (Fast forward to 1:25 and it starts around 1:30ish)

Typically when you lift up, they do a back flip under you and you land in turtle top position. Here samuel let go and my arm just slipped out..But hey, an escape is an escape. lol I like your way alot better and will give it a try.
