He put his hands back to break the fall - referees often use that as a tell-tale sign that a fighter is not out and allow the fight to continue as opposed to falling flat supine or face planting where they will stop a fight immediately. The way CB fell shows he wasn't out and proceeded to milk the foul to his advantage.
