Debut against Cane... TKOs a guy who would go on to get TKO'd in 2 of his next 3 fights, and lose his way out of the UFC (in a lighter division, no less).

2nd fight against Brillz... Gets a "win" in a fight that most of us believe Brillz won, but even the most staunch of Nog supporters can't argue that Nog was struggling just to keep the fight close, with a guy who was one of the much lower-level fighters in the division, and yet another guy that goes on to lose his way out of the UFC (by consecutive 1st rd KOs, no less).

3rd fight against Bader... Fight that had some close rounds, but ultimately drops a unanimous 30-27, in a relative stinker of a fight.

4th fight against Davis... Another stinker of a fight, but Nog again struggles with another wrestler, and drops a unanimous 30-27.

5th fight against Tito... Gets a gimme of a fight, as they wheel out the ghost of Tito for Nog to use as a punching bag for a few minutes. I found it disturbing that afterwards, some people were actually using this fight as being some kind of evidence that Nog is now a top fighter in the division.

Last fight (emphasis on LAST) against Rashad... In one of the most pathetic and embarrassing NON-fights I have ever seen, Nog and Rashad somehow manage to turn an MMA match into 15 minutes of what nothing more than a glorified pattycake match, of which Nog gets a 29-28 decision. In my mind, both guys should've been deducted multiple points for timidity, and I think that fight takes Mir/CroCop's place as the single most boring/unentertaining fight in recent main card history.

I know I'm setting myself up to get flamed for saying this...

But the truth is; Nog has put on some really bad fights for us over the years... His 2 decisive wins are against guys that realistically aren't anywhere near top 20 LHWs, and the rest of his fights were either close, or just awful to watch.

He continually pulls out of fights, and is so inactive that he barely averages just ONE fight per calendar year...

Fact of the matter is, save for a few *DECADE-OLD* showings in PRIDE, Nog has had a rather lackluster career, since. He doesn't deserve to be talked about in the conversation with other top fighters. And personally, I cringe when I see some fans try to use words like "legend" with Lil Nog, or even try to mention him in the same breath with his brother, like he's somehow in Big Nog's league, or accomplished even anything near what Big Nog has accomplished.

At one point in time, Nog put on great fights against top fighters, and at one point in time, he should've, been considered a top 205er. But those days are in the past.

Personally, I don't want to see Nog fight anymore. Unless the UFC is planning on bringing in another Tito/Cane level fighter to serve as Nog's punching bag, the only 2 possible outcomes I see are; A) A terrible, boring fight; or B) Nog getting himself badly hurt... Which is the scenario I foresee for Nog, should he miraculously make it to fight night against Rumble...

You're crazy if you think I'm gonna read a wall of undeserved shitting on a legend.

True, it ruffles panties but the fact is that both Nogs are highly overrated.

I'm hijacking this pathetic hate charade and turning this into a Lil Nog appreciation thread.

Wins over TK, Mezger, Saku, Overeem(twice), Hendo, Rashad, Tito, one of the best fights of all time against Shogun, not a legend LOL. Roger FedorAIR is the Kenneth Allen of Sherdog.

Yeah, I wouldn't give a shit if I never saw Little Nog fight again.

Lil Nog's prime was in Pride and he was a top 205'er back then. I guess you are newer to MMA or just ignorant since you have no clue about the fighters Lil Nog was beating back in the early to mid 2000s.

Sure he maybe doesnt have the accomplishments of a Shogun, but he was up there with Shogun in rankings for a long time and people that have watched him fight over the years know Lil Nog was legit and hit a decline.

Go educate yourself on some Pride history, which you will find out was the #1 organization back then with the best fighters. UFC couldn't compare.

Rogerio is a LHW LEGEND right up there with guys like Saku, Hendo and Shogun.
It's funny how on here ppl revered Vladdy when he retired and had no problem calling him a legend, yet love to shit on Rogerio, when realistically out of the 2 Minotoro is the better and more accomplished fighter.
Yes he is often injured but the amount of hate he gets is truly unwarranted.

Right. It's not like Diet Nog has been fighting and beating top level guys for 15 years. From Rashad a year ago to Sakuraba 10 years ago.

Kids these days, no hespect.

Everything you stated is true.....Can't argue with you...Hell I thought he was an embarrassment in Pride....You have said what I have felt about Lil' Nog for years - and did a fine job of it - thank you & Amen!

The problem with that list is that his fight with Rashad was truly awful, and Tito had no business fighting top 205ers at all. Both those wins deserve severe asterisks.

I love Rogerio, but he never held a title in a major org and he's only had one really significant win streak throughout his career. Is Babalu also a legend because he fought a lot of tough dudes and beat more than a few of them?

Serious question; Have you even watched that Mezger fight?

I like how everyone ignores the fact the dudes been fighting forever. Where are the top UFC LHWs of his era nowadays?
