It led to Bisping knocking out Rockhold which was epic. And Bisping fighting all those fights with one eye in retrospect is insane. I still score it for Silva but Bisping got a TS with some help from that win so the close decision win for Bisping is cool with me. It's impressive he was able to get fight's sanctioned at all.

Yep lol I'm dead in the water there. 1-6 regardless. Well played. AS vs Bisping was the last great fight Silva was in IMO. It was a good fight regardless of who you scored it for.

I think Weidman is a bad style match up for Silva. Prime Silva or not I think Weidman had his number & always has a very good chance of beating him.

Every “prime” fighter was destroyed then.

And it’s people uneducated who put credence in the idea that Weidman meant to break his leg.

Dont know who, it was obvious izzy wasn't trying to ko him. It was more of a showboat fight than a real one. Anderson is his hero, he took it easy on him.

You do know that knee was insanely dirty though right? The only reason it landed is because Bisping had his mouthpiece out for ages and there was a complete stop in the action and the ref hinted he could get it, and as bisping was blatantly pointing to his mouth piece once again to the ref, Silva did the jumping knee while Bisping looked away at it. Bit classless as Silva wasn't attacking before that and he essentially kneed a 1 eyed man that kept trying to get his mouthpiece lol if people saw that knee without that knowledge it makes the fight look a bit different for sure. No biggie just sharing

The "real" "prime" Silva hasn't been seen in nearly a decade.

He's entered the mythical stage, living through fanbois' and haters' exaggerations.

LOL at people overrating Israel, like he would survive 3 rounds with prime Anderson Silva.

When Israel has 2,457 days reigning as champ, we can talk again newb.

True. Whittaker got overrated. Izzy still arguably beats any version of Anderson Silva. He never fought, let alone beat anyone remotely close to the level of Adesanya in the striking department during his reign.

I think it was more of a problem for Israel because of the stylistic match up. Israel is great at reading people and finding patterns, the trouble with Anderson is that he is not very predictable. Anderson wasn't falling for many of the traps other fighters have done and was able to avoid being too badly hurt by the end of it. I for one absolutely loved seeing that fight and have not been on the edge of my seat like that for a long time, maybe until last weekend's fight. Seeing Anderson pass the torch was a moment to remember.

I celebrate the fact i watched The goat live a few times. Im curious about how many years have passed and we havent seen any striker close to his level.
Lol comparing Anderson to this bum
Prime Anderson would have destroyed weidman.
