LOL at Askren getting a fair deal in ufc

It'S clear to me that the ufc is geared toward tuf noobs, wwe watching justbleed teens now. Okami fitch john Howard getting the ax when strikerswho haven't won since bill clonton was getting blown in the white house... you know sakara, hardy, etc.

If he's gonna be cut after 1 or 2 fights making 20000 bucks a fight. Forget improving standup he should just adopt a wwe persona like chael.

He already has one.
 
He already has a WWE persona, he's twice the shit talker that Chael is, because he's clever instead of glib, and is confident instead of just bluffing.

While I agree that the Fitch and Okami cuts were bullshit, I think Askren will be more well-received than many believe. He's an up and comer, whereas Fitch and Okami became non-contenders. And he does a ton of damage from the top, and his style is much looser than the smothering approach used by Fitch or Volkman. And if people boo him, he can just start another USA chant.
 
The Thunder was/is one of my favorite fighters. His matches were somewhat boring but I really respected his skills. And a super nice guy, completely humble and cool.

I am surprised he got cut.... but not surprised. Does that make sense?

Same with Fitch. But TS, I don't buy what you're selling. The UFC will not miss either of them and I don't think there's any hidden agenda about it... They both peaked ... then whats next for them? Time to move on.

Makes sense to me. For both I was like "Whoa! They cut Okami? I guess it makes sense"
 
Sucks to be Askren right now. Too good for every other organization, not just bleed enough for Dana. Maybe he should get acting lessons from Chael and just go full on WWE. That's really the only chance he has of advancing his career.

Askren's biggest problem is that he's not worth an offer big enough to scare off Bellator, and who knows if the UFC would even offer one after Lombard basically stole money from them.
