How can people hate Woodley as hard as they do? Has anyone looked at his resume? 1st off, all but 2 fights have been under SF/UFC and all but his first 3 have Wiki pages. he raced to a 10-0 start with 6 finishes en route to a SF title shot only 3 years after his pro debut. He beat Robbie fucking lawler in brutal fashion to become UFC champion. At the time people held the sentiment that he didn't have a gas tank and won fights leaning on his ko power and wrestling. Fast forward to now, he has gone 15 rounds and is winning fights based on his adaptability. He was called out for ducking WB, yet he fought and (imo) beat him twice. he STOOD WITH FUCKING WONDERBOY AND LIVED TO TELL THE TALE! People hate on him for being tentative against one of the most dominant and dangerous fighters at the time (maia) when everyone who has fought him were lucky their heads didn't pop off like a champagne cork . People still hold the rory loss over his head as though it wasn't 3 years ago, as if rory looks as good today as head did then, as if tyron hasn't obviously vastly improved since then.He is active, he is improving, and he is fighting top contenders and has been doing so for years. You aren't racist, but you are dead wrong. If it is his personality, you can just admit you care about pro wrestling aspects of the sport the same as the martial arts aspects. 15-3-1 under Zuffa/wme. RESPECT THE CHAMP!

Maia: Dominant and Dangerous

LOL! Go back to your self-imposed retirement.

I'm a Maia fan, but to be honest on paper Woodley, a strong wrestler with decent striking, should have had a dominant win over Maia, an excellent bjj guy with relatively poor takedowns and poor striking. The fact that Maia was the aggressor is a pretty weak showing from Woodley.

ok you can go away now

His title defenses have been horseshit. He avoids any and all risk and does the bare minimum to win rounds (largely because champions seem to automatically win every round).

Woodley popped his shoulder, so he was just throwing straight punches the rest of the fite, similar to Chan Sung Jung.

On paper Condit shoulda done better as well, but things happen.

I like Woodley a lot, and enjoyed watching him shut down Maia and Wonderboy...but you're not going to change any fucktard's mind with a thread.

My feelings about Woodley reside somewhere in the don't give a fuck range. Maybe it'll change if he keeps winning.

he gets hate for his recent in-cage actions (or lack thereof), but gets more hate for his outside the cage comments. he's too sensitive to criticism, lashing out at those who dare to claim he's not the messiah (even going after dana white for the criticism of his most recent fight). he plays the race card too often. he calls himself the best welterweight ever. and it just goes on and on...

Cuz he don't do what he say he'll do, fool

Better against Maia or Woodley? Condit is known for not having strong TDD, he's just good on the ground. There's good on the ground and then there's Maia.

My point is Woodley, though he IS more tentative than fans want, did pop his shoulder, so that signature overhand right, after he threw it one hard time, wasn't usable anymore.

And I meant Condit against Woodley, whose knee finally gave out. Chan Sung Jung against Aldo is probably a better example.

Haters lack of arguments against T-Wood makes them say Maia was an easy fight for a wrestler. Kim and Fitch please.

Lay n pray isn't gonna work vs a BJJ guy like Maia, and Fitch isn't outstriking anyone. And Kim was an injury like 30 seconds in to the fight.
