If your glove hits the floor it is technically a knockdown even if Logan's punch didn't land. So by the rules this should have been considered a knockdown but it was too fast and Floyd just ducked too low you can't blame anyone for not calling it a knockdown even though technically it is.

Haven't seen a green belt in a long time

Imagine someone with 3 months of training coming into MMA and not only competing with for 5 rounds but also knocking down Jones, GSP, or Prime Silva

LOL

Stop it.

You were probably one of the people who said Khabib didn't knock down Conor because his butt never hit the ground.

I believe this happened on a Bully Beatdown episode. The bully knocked down the professional fighter then the pro head kicked the bully (which was against the rules). The fight was stopped and the pro fighter was immediately DQ but at the end the bully said the pro fighter won the fight and turned down the prize money.

It's not landing on Aldo, Jones or GSP but it's a novice/untrained dropping professional fighter. Jake Shields was on Bully Beatdown FFS.

No. A punch has to land in order to register a knock down

This made me think of the movie "The Fighter", where Christian Bale keeps telling everyone that he knocked down Sugar Ray Leonard.

That's actually a good point

I guess it's confirmed that Logan is a way better boxer than Conner. He's not even the better boxer of the two youtuber brothers. Conor gets starched by any top 10 youtuber and probably any any top 5 twich streamer. UFC is dying.

These type of fights bring out the absolute worst posters.

MMA fans are the worst fanbase in the world and shit on boxing every moment they can cause they can't take that even in decline boxing still generated huge money and attention moreso then in the ufc golden age which is now with conor mcgregor.

I seriously cannot tell if some of these motherfuckers we get posting after these celeb boxing shitefests are so fucking dumb that they think "touching down w/o taking a punch" really constitutes a knockdown, or if they are on a massive windup.

If the latter, they ain't very good at it, but still.

No, it is literally only a knockdown if the punch lands. Those are the rules. It is what the rule technically is. A scoring blow has to land.
