If a fighter is trying to be in the UFC, can they fight in a local organization that is not in their hometown?

A friend has good skills but the local organization in our town may not the best people. We are not sure but looking for alternative avenue.

Any local organization in u.s and Canada that have a nurturing relationship with the ufc?

From what I understand they don't really have official relationships with small promotions. Though they may occasionally have someone that's connected to the UFC that goes to a small promotion and if they see something they like they'll mention it to the people that matter at the UFC.

LFA is the one you want to get onto if you can. If not then they take a lot of guys from Titan or WXW.

Move to Vegas. A lot of schools with Ufc ties here, Drysdale tied to Venum, Fight Capital Skip tied to John Lewis, so many ex-Ufc fighters gyms, can get you into Ufc and other promotions.

LFA is where he should try to get in for a faster track to the UFC if he has the talent to hang.

West coast.

Also who is the lady in your avatar?
Tachi palace fights. But your friend needs to know that these bigger promotions have guys contacting them constantly. So good luck to him

Her name is hana kimura

When I fought professionally, I had two fights in the WFC, and at the time, they were a huge proving grounds for the UFC.. Calvillo, Ladd, Fili, Griffin, Lopez, etc etc.. came from there and many ex UFC Fighters, found themselves fighting on main event slots.. Scott Smith, James Irvin, Kendall Grove, etc etc. Tachi Palace use to be a way into the UFC, but in the recent years, the top guys in Tachi Palace ended up in Bellator or WSOF for the most part.
