Such a very low fight IQ

Her strategy to circle and kick shows half way through round 1 to be a bad strategy as she circles into the power kick of Davis which is stronger and wrecks her leg.

Does she change her strategy after? No. Maybe use her hands or show some volume of output, pressure, go for takedowns....ANYTHING

NO...continues to fight in a way she probably pre-prepared and can't think of what else to do.

Doesn't take a genius to see that she's injured.

Her leg got badly hurt in the first round.

Davis is one of the better W135'ers, there's no shame in losing

its these fighters who dont think and want their coaches to do the thinking

Liz Carmouche hasn't been fighting that long. She was thrown in against Coenen as a jobber, and ended up beating Coenen up because Coenen was fighting to her weaknesses and Carmouche was fighting to her strengths. Then Strikeforce feeds her to Sarah Kaufman.Alexis Davis, deserves credit, though. She's massively improved. Her overall game has gotten a lot better. She outclinched Carmouche, which is something. If Carmouche isn't out long, she will get Tate if Tate loses to Rousey.

I never understood why people were so in love with Carmouche in the first place. She has beaten a grand total of 1 fighter with a winning record and that was Jessica Andrade and even then she almost got caught in a fight ending choke in the 1st round.

You, however, have zero IQ if you don't wait to find out if there's more to the story. She seemed like there could have been an injury or severe nerves fighting in front of troops. Somehow I feel she's not one to crumble under pressure... so more than likely there was some form of injury involved.

Of course, there's lots of other possibilities including the TS being correct. Just much less likely than "something was not right with Carmouche but she's a warrior and fought through it"

She seemed like she didn't want to fight.

There's little doubt she's much stronger than Davis and could have overpowered, but she just didn't seem motivated to fight.

Carmouche almost beat Coenen. But this isn't an unfair point.
She showed very low fight IQ in that fight as well and Coenen who is a great fighter took advantage of it. BTW Carmouche had Coenen mounted for minutes at a time and outstruck her 221 to 48 and Coenen still walked away with barely a scratch.

Actually, Coenen was pretty lumped in that fight. Not cut at all, but Carmouche was pounding her down pretty well. If Carmouche hadn't been so aggressive, she wouldn't have got caught in that triangle.

what kind of injury would force you to continually circle into power kicks? did she have a fear of circling to her right?

Alexis looked superior to Carmouche in every facet of the fight ... other than muscle definition.

Davis is actually very strong, she is underrated bc she doesn't talk smack and is polite. She ragdolled shayna b grappling and many others. Plus she has improved a lot

Shayna is a pretty average fighter, so ragdolling isn't THAT impressive.

However, Davis showed some nice kicks, granted against a very overrated fighter but still. She should fight Cat when she comes back, would be a good fight.

Guess she was scared it would turn out like the Coenen fight so she decided to strike with a much better striker than her, that is bad IQ if you ask me. Liz usually constantly moves forward pushing the pace not sure why she changed that up, i mean her leg was getting punished but even before that i dont remember her pushing the pace
