This place can always use some refreshing news in between the garbage that gets posted here. I thought this was a cool story.

We all know Justin left fighting to go work with the Pygmy people in Africa to help free them from slavery and help them provide fresh water sources. I follow Justin on Facebook and one of the Pygmy tribe members just had a baby and named him after Justin "Mbuti MangBO Justin " which means Big Pygmy. This is a huge honor for a white man in a tribal setting and Justin has done a lot to help these people and I think this is just an awesome story. The Pygmy people have embraced Justin as one of their own and I think that is neat.

Anyway, thought those of you who follow Justin's fight for the forgotten would find this interesting. Lately news from the MMA world has been so focused on PED's, domestic violence and other negativity. I wish more stories like this would be more publicized in association with MMA because it displays how not all fighters are a bunch of blood thirsty savages who want to beat people up. This is a great humanitarian effort.

Great work Justin, many of us would never give up our lifestyle to do what you have done and I think what you are doing is amazing and commendable work. I am not religious so I will not say god's work, but certainly great work for humanity.

I don't have a link as this is on facebook and all of you are familiar with social media, so you can look it up if you like.

Cheers

Justin is an awesome person. We should help promote his fight for the forgotten

That's great but it's hard to swallow the overly religious intent.

He's spreading his religious garbage like cancer.

You know you can choose to ignore that aspect of it and focus on the humanitarian effort. I do. Do not hate the cause because you are too ignorant to ignore that aspect it. He is doing amazing work, god or no god.

Shut up you clown

lol religion does a lot of good for a lot of people. don't just focus on the negativity. a lot of people need it. i'm an atheist, myself, but I'm not wearing my atheism like a badge like some recently-graduated college-liberal who's eager to shout. we get it; you've seen Bill Maher

these are people who don't live comfortably; they will never reach the heights of sherdog.net with an eleven-year black-belt like some of us. Justin wren is a good person, religious or not. even if I was paid 100k, I wouldn't go there for one week.

Sigh.......nice try TS but you can't stop the negative nancies for even 1 page.
But good to hear about Wren.

Thanks for the info. It's good to see more than just negativity coming from the MMA world.

nothing wrong with talking about your religion (to an extent), and im a deist

He should come back and fight Hapa or Big Country. The UFC needs more epic beards. He should come out and ride to the ring on a Pygmy's back.

I guess. I am more than a look at the negative world around me kind of person. I like to seek out the good things going on in the world. I think its that train of thought in people who choose to look at things like this in the negative are part of the huge problems with this world. I get its the internet and people are being snarky. I am not religious in one aspect of anything but this is just one of the positive stories that can help embrace and be associated with the MMA community and I don't understand how anyone can just be so negative about a truly awesome story.

Simple minded folks I imagine.

Well, It's appreciated.
He seems like a sound enough guy and if anything the image of this giant jolly beast of a man helping the pygmy people and become a legend to them should spark some joy.

I'm sorry that you're so bitter and miserable. You should fly over to Africa to save those people from Justin Wren's cancer.
He lives in constant fear that a nation of indoctrinated pygmies will crusade against his neo-hipster ideology.
