    Kennedy - Not
    Brandao - Not
    Guida - Not
    Sanchez - Not
    Stann - Not
    30 other guys - Not
    Marquardt - Not
    Gina - Not
Condit - better at kicking(kick/thai boxer)
Cerrone - better at kicking(kick/thai boxer)
Jones - average in boxing, despite having all advantages, no power, opponents have to look for 20 other tools.

Swanson - trains at a boxing gym
Holly Holm - ex boxing champ
Arlovski - didn't learn it there
Khabilov - didn't learn it there
Overreem - there for 2 fights. Learned kickboxing in the Netherlands
Dodson - yes, but he's in the smallest weight division and lost his variability lately. How long is he at Jackson's?
    Evans - changed to blackzillians

Is it save to say that Jackson MMA is a great gym, but their weakness is definately the boxing department?

How many fighters at AKA are good boxers?

How many fighters at ATT are good boxers?

How many Team Quest fighters are good boxers?

You see where I'm going with this?

Jackson's is probably my least favorite camp, but this thread is just silly.

There aren't that many good boxers in MMA, as most of them stay in boxing. It's unfair to single Jackson's out for something that is a sport-wide deficiency.

ATT: Notable: Lombard improved a lot, Guillard(althought gymchanger) Lawler, Straus, Poirier, Shamhalaev(didn't learn it there), Romero

Percentage wise they have a lot more

Team Quest: Jacksons has like 10 times more top10 fighters, so the comparison ain't fair.

Such an obvious attempt to discredit a gym.

K-1 Champion? "But he learned in Holland". Doesn't matter: he's a Jackson fighter.

Holm, who is a boxing Champion? "She learned in boxing". Doesn't matter: she's a Jackson fighter.

The same is applicable to everyone you used. The challenge is "list the fighters from Jackson's MMA with good boxing".

Dodson is a local celeb here in Albuquerque I don't see him going anywhere.......Evans learned his striking before moving camps.....Melvin improved while here....you just picked and chose which facts you liked and which you wanted to ignore.... Just because Dodson is small doesn't make him a bad striker....this thread is to dumb on to many levels

how is that relevant? so small people can't box? flyweights walk around at 140-ish which is around what Holm weighs yet her skills get credited (as they should) but somehow Dodson doesn't?

this is without going into how boxing has to be adapted to fit MMA rules and how a good boxer will share his/her skills with others thus increasing the general level at Jackson's gym.

if anything, the main bad thing about Jackson's I've read from credible sources is the camp open to everyone (i.e. not the invitation fighters-only sessions). they seem to be lacking, overly expensive and generally just a funding pool for the fighters.

There's like 5-6 good boxers MAX in the entirity of MMA if you only count the ones who didn't come from Boxing (Rakoczy, Holm etc)

you can't say list the fighters from jackson's that are good at boxing but then rule out anyone who developed their boxing somewhere else even though they train primarily at jacksons. You could ask for a list of fighters who became good boxers at jacksons but since it's an mma gym, you could just look for the people who became good fighters at jacksons (there's a lot)

Cub is one of the best boxers in mma.. Sure he trains at a boxing gym too, but that's any fighters prerogative. So do the other good boxers like Diaz brothers, and I expect Gustafsson etc do too.
