Does anyone know where I can find a list of bars showing the Pacquiao v. Marquez fight, specifically in San Diego, CA?

Thanks.

Ha ha, that is true. I had to find a bunch of bars and call several to find out which would show a PPV boxing card. But I am going to a filipino guy's house to watch this one.

Sit close to the door of the bar for a Mexican pride vs Phillipino pride fight.

Seeing as I live with an all Filipino family, I know exactly what you guys are talking about. I always get (more) hyped up when Pacman fights because of this. There is nothing like being at a house with 30 Filipinos while Manny is fighting. Great fight atmosphere lol, even the kids get into it and the whole fam gets wasted if he wins (or loses for that matter).

But like Bobby said, Go to the fight (if you dont know any Filipinos lol) and if thats not do-able, you can find it on just at about any sports book out here in Vegas.

Almost every fight is sold out, that doesn't mean tickets aren't still available though. That's how some of us stay in business. Yes, it's at Mandalay Bay this Saturday.

Not all fights are shown in the sportsbook due to local blackout rules actually. I'm not sure which category this one falls under.

Calling around is what I figured I'll have to do; I was just hoping for an easier way, like how the ufc site has a list of bars showing their fight cards.

Im fairly sure that if the fight doesn't completely sell out, thats when the black out occurs. Thats what happended with the Mayweather Baldomir fight. I was able to watch it up at Green Valley Ranch on the "closed circuit" television in the sportsbook. Shit was packed, standing room only.

MGM/Mirage has some weird deal with the other sportsbooks in town. For sstuff at Thomas and Mack it's under a different set of guidelines.

Bars showing the fight can be bery hard to find. HBO makes Bars pay insane prices to distribute their PPV production. I was told by a bar owner that it would cost them $2000 to get the PPV.

im guessing on-strip/ off-strip regulations?

Maybe its sponsoring hotel gets to choose who gets the broadcast and who doesn't? I would guess they wouldn't want the competition to make money off their fight.

shot in the dark.

I have heard this before; I remember years ago while in college in SLO a couple of bars got in trouble for showing the fight without paying the large fee; another one paid the fee but they were charging a door fee-which this bar did sometimes but they didn't distinguish between cover for the fight & normal enterance or some legal BS like that.

Just go Downtown or PB

I'm going with a group of people (some have no interest in the fight--main reason I'm not purchasing it at home) & am trying to pin down an exact location for that reason.
right now i'm starting to call places I know air ufc cards, hopefully I find one showing this fight.

Find a mexican restaurant/cantina. Sometimes they get the PPV when a big-name mexi fighter is on.

I don't know if you knew this for a fact, but every time Manny fights, crime rate in the Philippines just goes to down to zero.... No traffic too. :P
