The Lion Fight 11 main event features Brazilian superstar Cosmo Alexandre taking on two-time WMC champion and Rajadamnern Stadium champion Nampon. In the co-main event, American Muay Thai star Kevin Ross will square off against former WBC Muay Thai Japan champion Tetsuya Yamato.

Fighting out of San Diego, Cris Cyborg Justino is one of the top-ranked female mixed martial artists in the world. With a pro MMA record of 12-1-0-1, she is the former Strikeforce featherweight champion and current Invicta FC featherweight champion.


Thirty-year-old Jennifer Colomb has an incredible record of 10 wins with 10 knockouts and zero losses. The five-foot-nine-inch French Muay Thai champion trains with the renowned team Kan-Kra out of Bordeaux, France, and is known for her aggression, strength and crushing knockouts. Taking this fight with one week’s notice, Lion Fight 11 will mark the first time ever that Colomb has fought in America.

LION FIGHT 11 will take place at the Third Street Stage at the Fremont Street Experience Friday, Sept. 20. The event opens at 4:00 p.m. PT; first bout starts at 5:00 p.m. PT. He was pretty cagey about the situation there. Not sure if he didn't want to talk about, or couldn't due to pending negotiations/disputes. He did sound like he still wanted to fight MMA. He stated at the presser that MMA training is fun for him, while Muay Thai is not fun, but he likes fighting Muay Thai more.

I think Ross and Yamato are FOTN imo. I think they match up well together. Hope Kevin takes it though, he's a homie.

That's awesome! Yeah, he's a real nice guy, humble. Last time he fought Leffler, Jose knocked him out in the first round and broke his jaw in 2 places. Doesn't get much cleaner than that.

Last non-televised just finished and national anthem was handled. Pretty sure its TV-live now on AXS. Great final undercard bout. Sorry I don't have time to load up pics but plenty to do here.


Btw, hard to gauge just how many are here. Lots of people standing outside the 4 Queens, Fremont Casino, and The D. But the seats are about 70% filled for the start of the card and there's def enough people standing around inside the gate to fill the available seats. I'd say around 800 if you count us press guys and not the AXS personnel or security.
