With Cyborgs horrific injury(get well soon) and MVP's spectacular knee Lima's performance has been overlooked a bit. He had Daley hurt pretty bad twice in the fight and displayed some crisp counter punches. I think it's too soon for him to get another title shot(maybe one more win). Who do you see him fighting next? How do you see a fight between him and MVP going?

i haven't watched enough of his fights since the koreshkov loss, has he done anything to prove that he won't get grapplefucked again?

Apparently he had a pretty bad knee injury when he fought Koreshov and only took the fight because he needed the money. Daley panic wrestled when he was hurt in which Lima easily defended but I don't believe that's a good gauge on his takedown defense.

You think anyone in Bellator will agree to fight MVP? I think the champ won't have a choice or he'll be stripped but Lima and any other contender might not accept to fight him, who in their right mind would? What happened is not even a freak accident, MVP knew what he was doing.

You literally haven't missed anything. Before Saturday, the Koreshkov fight was his last fight.

Personally, I think he should fight Brennan Ward. Don't think he's ready for the title shot yet. Fernando Gonzalez is on a 5 fight win streak against some good opponents. Gonzalez vs Koreshkov pls.

He wrecked Daley. It was hilarious to hear Jimmy Smith saying repeatedly that Lima might need to finish Daley.

I think he was more so trying to play devil's advocate considering Daley was on home turf and terrible decisions such as Manhoef vs Carvalho.

MVP definitely has some serious skills but I can't help but think that there are some fighters on the roster who think they could exploit him. Cyborg had him in some tough positions in the first round although he couldn't capitalize on it. Plus the guy has so much hype behind him who wouldn't want to be the one to slay the dragon?

Personally I'd like to see him fight either Chidi or Gilbert Smith next.

I'd pick Lima against most of the UFC WW top 10.

Lima looked pretty good and he got the better of Daley in the striking dept which is a big statement. He was a little too inactive IMO but he picked his shots perfectly.

Regarding MVP.. the knee was brutal but he was not having much success against a shorter opponenet who was backing up the whole second round without putting any offensive. I was not impressed by his performance at all. He got dominated in the first. Cyborg just gave up in the second.

I think his habit of keeping his hands low and his shitty TDD and ground game is going to cost him against someone who can exploit that. As long as they keep feeding him strikers or guys with below average TDs he is going to be fine.

The fight went the way I expected it, Lima looked good, but come on guys, Daley is so overrated it's not even funny anymore. If Lima gets a title shot I wouldn't be mad, but I think a #1 contender fight vs the Most Valuable Cancrusher could be pretty exciting.

I dunno how Daley even gets these fights his last notable win was over Luigi Fiorawhatshisname back in 2011.

Lima was good but he's not ready to fight for the title again. Give him MVP. Whoever wins that will be deserving on the shot.

I wouldn't be surprised if they put him for the title again
I think MVP vs Gonzales is likely to happen next, they are 7-0 and 5-0 respectively
Then you have Bradley 3-1-1, Chidi 2-0 and not many others who are coming for at least 2 wins on a row

This is the fight I wanted to see most. Lima is one of my favs, and knew he had more to offer than what he showed against Andrey. I hate to bring up the "I was injured excuse", but he has a lot more to show than that fight.

Lima would get taken down easily, would land some sick sweeps only to give up position. It was frustrating. I'm glad Lima was able to put out a good showing smacking Daley around.

A healthy Lima will be a tough task for Andrey. It'll be a back and forth battle. Id give the speed advantage to Andrey, and the power to Lima.. Solid rematch for the ww title of its made.

Mvp vs Gonzalez is logical at this point as well.
