It feels like Joe Silva's just having the time of his life w/ matching Lombard up w/ opponents lol.

First he gets 2 stocky short MW's in the cage together.

Now he has a play on names.

With that said, they're both judokas & Lombards an Olympian. Unless Okami makes it outta the initial blitz and survives the 1st round w/ Lombard & Lombard gasses, he could use that to his advantage.

With that said. Okami's been super chinny as of late. He's been rocked by his past 4 opponents & Lombard packs bombs in his fists. Might be the hardest hitter in the division since Hendo. Lombard via 1st Round T/KO!

 

If Okami had a more trustable chin I would go with Okami. But Lombard will get the win with a KO.

Hoping I am proven wrong and Okami grapples him and grinds him

Why would you hope for another Okami grindfest? That's nothing worth seeing!

 

Excellent matchmaking.

Very winnable fight for lombard and can definitely bring him up to contender status after Bisping (if he gets by vitor)

I think Lombard has the TDD and scrambling capable of beating Okami. However, I'm not sure if he has the cardio.

 

This unfortunately.

 

Okami is not exactly chinny. Anderson breaks chins and the uppercuts from the Barbarian would put anyone out.

That being said Lombard is a horrible matchup for Okami, hed struggle to drag him down and would get lit up on the feet. Lombard by 2nd round tko

 

Bad matchup for okami imo. I don't think he can take lombard down.

 

Yeah, I think Okami has to try to win one of the least entertaining decisions of all-time here by doing his best Tim Boetsch impression with a bit of the Kongo-Jordan fight mixed in.

 

I'm going with Lombard on this one.

I don't think Okami will be to be able to impose his game with his wrestling. Lombard's judo and TDD are too good, he's going to close the distance and hurt Yushin.

That said, I won't be surprised if Okami earns a boring close decision.

Hector by KO. We've all seen what happens to Okami when someone nullifies his grappling(Sonnen fight) and Hector is a better grappler than both of them, probably stronger too.

 

Does anyone else remember when Hectors nickname was Shango but fight finder seemingly refused to give him that nickname? What happened with that?
