What exercise/lifting apps do y'all recommend? Specifically for iPhone.

I've been using the Stronglifts 5x5 app. It's a good app, but I've been doing it for a while and want to change things up a bit and it's not very customizable.

I've heard good things about GymBook, Strong, iFitness, Fitness Point, and some others, but have not tried any them yet.

Any suggestions/recommendations? Preferably apps that focus on lifting, as that's all I do exercise-wise.

Sorry if this is a duplicative thread and/or in the wrong place. I did a search and didn't see anything recent, but I just might have missed it. I wasn't sure if this is the best spot for this thread, so I apologize if I rustled any jimmies.

the Sheiko app is good. I think it's $12.

if you are interested in it, go to the sheiko website (http://sheiko-program.ru/) and check it out. they have a section in the forums for the app and you can see the kinds of issues reported for it and the responsiveness of the developer.

I used to use a protein calculator app when I was trying to stack on weight a couple of years ago. It was pretty cool. You set your goal of protein intake for the day in grams and then you would enter the foods you ate and it would calculate it for you.

I think there's a few apps out there for 5/3/1 which vary in quality.

I usually just have my program in an excel spreadsheet, upload it to Google Drive, and then view it on my phone using Sheets.

I use a notebook. It's just better every way. I also keep a spreadsheet that I update from time to time but whatever.

I've been using Stronglifts 5x5 and haven't found anything better since. Its so simple to use and a no brainer.

I'm actually working on an app for Android phones right now. Gotta put my Java knowledge to good use.

MOAR DETAILS LATER!

The strong lifts app is good....if your doing strong lifts.

I saw one a few weeks ago that could do strong lifts and starting strength but I think you had to pay extra for the starting strength version.

The old 531 app was awesome but I guess whoever made it didn't have permission from Jim wendler so it got pulled. None of the newer 531 apps were anywhere near as good in my opinion.

Big Lifts 2 is a good one for 531. The free version has some ads in it but it has some variations in it like FSL and BBB.

Repcount is an app that simply lets you track an excercise and weight x sets x reps. Very easy to use.

Lifter is super easy and very customizable

Saves the routines, and I just add a few extras in each workout so that I can log either of my assistance exercises but not each for each movement each time.

For the last week I've been using Strong and I'm very pleased with it. Love this app!
I liked strong too, but it routinely crashed on me and I'd love my workout log 80% through so that made it pointless to use for me. Don't know if the app is always that buggy or if it just hated my particular phone

I've had 5 workouts and not a single crash. I have an iPhone 5c, and I went ahead and bought the paid-version of the app. Haven't had a single problem.

I had the free one with a 5s. Glad it's working for you
