I've always been so afraid of losing strength that I rarely try to lose weight except pre-tournament. In here, I'll be logging my efforts to lower my bodyfat a bit through diet, conditioning, strength training, and jiu-jitsu training.

Super high carb day (?c, 200p, 0f)
High carb day (400c, 200p, 0f)
Medium Carb Day (200c, 265p, 50f)
low carb (100c, 300p, 100f)

Low Carb Day

6 large eggs - 27g fat, 42g protein
Protein shake - 100g protein


1/2 cup peanuts - 35g fat, 18g protein
1/2 cup almonds - 35g fat, 15g protein


tortilla soup w rice and beans - 100g carb, 25g pro

way underate today... 100c (good), 97g fat (good), 200g pro (~100g short)

Hey TD,

Whats your stats? You say you got 200g protein and was 100 short. . .there are few people that would need that much IMO.
 
We all differ in what we believe are necessary amounts of protein, but on low carb days, i have to make up my calories somewhere and usually its in protein.

That being said, I haven't logged anything because even though i've been on for about 70% of my meals for the last few days, the others have been garbage. mexican feast, pancakes, chicken wings, etc.
 
There is also a difference between "needing" the protein and it being directly not good for you.
If i had to choose a type of calorie to eat more of, it would certainly be protein. Especially for losing weight as it costs 25% of the energy of the protein to digest, most protein is also more filling than most carbs and fat

2 pork chops (fat cut off before cooking) - 50g pro

salad w/ balsamic - <10g carbs

protein shake - 100g protein; <10g carbs

shrimp stuff for dinner - probably 25g pro, 40g carb

cottage cheese w/ peanut butter and banana - 25g carb, 30g fat, 42g pro

75c, 253pro, 60fat... not bad.. wasn't hungry after eating all that

weighed in at 220 for my contest. ill be doing a biggest loser contest with my wife's family. we have 8 weeks to drop as much weight as possible. winner is the person who loses the largest percentage. that better be me. i want to get around 190-195. who knows though.

Next week, I'll take all my macros down 10% total and see what that does for me. Also, I'll be adding in Burn by trueprotein. THe week after, I'll be adding bronkaid into the mix.
