Just won the LHW tourny in Bellator with an inverted triangle and is undefeated with all finishes. Liam is gonna become the champ of Bellator and no one knows who he is. LOL. I guess they will know soon enough. I think this guy can be a star.

He's getting some hype from the hardcore fans, he's a big guy with power who has some subs off his back.

For him to really take the next step he needs to beat someone, he hasnt beaten anyone.

newton will be a decent win but the Rampage fight is the one that could take him to that top 10 level. Knock out Newton and rampage and people will know who he is.

They'll no who he is and wish he was in the UFC.
 
He's very exciting, but I never saw his fights before Bellator. How is his cardio in rounds 2 and 3? Newton's cardio doesn't seem to hold up when he isn't the one setting the pace.
 
no hype ? everyone was all over him in the play by play thread during the event including me.

Liam is a beast. I'm glad he didn't fight Rampage because he would have KOd him.
 
He is getting a lot of hype, once he's destroys Newton and the rest of the division, people will wish he was in the ufc and some will even be making threads about he can beat Jon Jones.
 
Tell him to cut a promo about how Newton's wife is a loose woman and have him walk into the cage with Paul Herrera under a mask. He'll be a star.
 
Liam McGeary has got a lot of potential. He could crack the top 5 in the UFC now imo...

Nonetheless, we should all be excited when such a creatively threatening fighter demonstrates such impressive and varied finishing abilities.

Yep, already see some saying he's the best matchup for Jones, :rolleyes:


Newton win and title will get him some hype but it will be Rampage that will be key to making him a possible star. If he goes out and just destroys Rampage thats when he would get a ton of hype and a top 10 ranking and people would wish he was in the UFC.

To be fair, he would rightly deserve to be in the UFC at that point (depending on the quality of the fights).
 
I see plenty of hype for him already. People everywhere are talking about him in the mma world. Even Dana's boyfriend tweeted about him last night-oops! I mean Ariel Helwani tweeted about him last night!

He also gained like 500 followers on twitter in one night, that's a lot for a Bellator fighter
 
Yeah he's getting hype. Bellator even has his him in there commercials hyping the future Bellator.

Newton vs Liam is an awesome fight for outside the UFC. And if Liam could win?

Rampage vs Liam is drool worthy.
 
I like Newton. But his past performances have left me really sketchy on his striking abilities. If he were to get in there with a technical kickboxer he would be laid out. His funky style leaves him open to a lot of attacks
