If you can read between the lines and have a clue, he was dissing Khamzat for immediately going for the takedown, calling his own and Burns striking superior to his. If anyone remembers, Rockhold called out Weidman for being a bitch for using the opening minute freshness to immediately get someones back and go for a rear naked. It's a tactic that is often used by Aljamain Sterling and Kevin Lee off the top of my head.

I’m only guessing that Lee didn’t see that Messerschmitt fight...?

Most people thought Leech was being wholesome because of the poor translation but I Noticed that as well.

He was taking a dig at Khamzat, still salty about the fight

Meh... every striker will try to goad a wrestler/grappler to stand & bang.
I don't even think it is that much of a difference, since those same fighters will be expecting a takedown and will probably not commit to anything worthy in the standup...
kind of how Conor did not do much with Khabib while he was taking a break and standing up against him... matter of fact, the biggest strike was thrown by Khabib which almost knocked Conor out since he was more preoccupied with takedowns and did not expect it.

Meh. He seemed pretty complimentary at the presser. I think this is a reach.

It's MMA, not kickboxing. It's not like they are cheating.
Your sig/avatar is extremely embarrassing. Dwelling that much on P4P, which is widely considered to be a pointless/meaningless ranking system, is the definition of trying to skew the narrative. Having 2 years at the top of a division < literally any other GOAT calibre fighter's resume

Strikers have to defend against wrestlers, and wrestlers have to deal with strikers to get their takedown. Then you get strikers who finally get matched up with another striker with bad TDD and they decide to wrestle. Khamzat has KO power, but still has more to prove being a striker, I get it. But honestly did Khabib have to prove he was a good striker if nobody could stop his takedowns?

Simple answer to destroy your baseless argument,

You think Sterling (C) > Yan (IC) based on title wins and divisional rankings?

Or do you think Yan (no.9 ranked P4P) > Sterling (unranked P4P), just like the P4P rankings tells you?

Well if he can string about 4 straight wins together he can say something more about it.

No sniveling accepted at this point.

Someone salty wouldn't have the balls to play journalist and ask a question of the guy who demolished them. Can't recall anyone doing that before.

Li was actually nice and wholesome af. prob tryna low key see what his game plan was.

Ahh, the old Diaz brother's tactic of "stand still in front of me and let me hit you or it's not fair!"

It's not very effective.

To me, this shows Khamzat's fight IQ.

Li is a dangerous striker, who can sleep you with one errant shot. Why take chances, when you know you can destroy him on the ground?

Khamzat showed discretion, which is the better part of valor.
