Let's talk about how ridiculous the new and improved Bones looks....

Unless people constantly bring up Weidman's ratio right along with Jones they pretty much out their agenda. Then again your entire existence here is agenda and bullshit driven.
Should anyone wishing to point out Jones test levels also copy and paste a list of all fighters who have had drug issues, so as not to represent a hidden agenda?

Wtf.

Everyone has been fawning over the extra mass but bulking up like this isn't always good. Especially at the higher weights. Look how sluggish Roy Jones looked against Ruiz and what happened when he went back to LHW.
Good on you for the Jones comparison. I always bring up that one and Wanderlei's bulk into HW that happened around the same time. Neither were ever the same. Slower first of all, and then concussed soon after.

Yep, every fighter since ufc 1, otherwise you're showing a clear agenda.

People always talk about Jon's lack of KO power as if that's his striking style. He doesn't throw a lot of big power shots. He breaks his opponents down and doesn't use a lot of power punches. Leg kicks, lots of clinch work, body shots, etc..he's not Hunt. Who's to say he doesn't have the power? He just doesn't fight like that. Guy always sticks to his game plan. And "KO the muthafucka" isn't in his play book.

What the hell is that graffiti at 00:23? It says PTA@W but the @ is not really @ because it is actually blurred out...what IS it???

I'm not just talking about him putting on muscle. Watch his padwork, I mean he was already imposing to begin with but wow he is gonna be a handful.

OSP is definitely a freak athlete too but still.

Ok point taken. Haven't had the time to watch it yet.

I don't think he has added much size at all to be honest, just improved his squat, deadlift and bench numbers by quite a lot.

OSP said its an F.

Prove Them All Fucking Wrong.

Jones would not match up well with Stipe Miocic.

Wait, when was there a cover up of Weidman's blood work?

Remind me again, I can't seem to remember.

I'm sure Jones would be a real threat to anyone at HW, but it is hard to imagine him going on a big run without getting hurt at some point. As others have said, his style, while obviously effective, does lend itself to extended fights. That kind of approach is playing with fire at HW.
I also suspect that if Jones and his team felt like he could move to HW without risking losses, then they would have already done so. HW isn't the deepest division, but LHW has turned into a wasteland. That said, as a fan of the sport, I really hope Jones does make the move to HW at some point. If he can manage to stay healthy and out of trouble, then he has plenty of time to do so.

Curious what those numbers are. Anyone know?
The most he ever weighed in at was 230 but he stayed at 228 most of the time. He has been 220 for like a few months so he isn't really cutting more or adding more mass persay he just went to like 600 on dead lift and 500 on his squat from about half or less of those numbers when he started I think. Being tall with long arms makes it hard to lift heavy weight, but the lifts are pretty impressive for a guy who didn't hit iron before that and only has done it for a year. Plenty of power lifters would scoff at his numbers but by comparison to average joe gym goer that's a ton of weight to move.

To be fair it's not like Werdum is out there KOing people left and right.
He stopped Hunt, plus it was his striking (including his power) that turned Cain into a panic wrestler. It goes down as a sub win, but it was Vai Cavalo's striking that did it.

So you might not need crazy power at HW, but you have to have enough to hurt people so these gigantic monsters can't just constantly move forward and punch you in the face. Not sure Jones has that power. He could end up being like a Struve guy, power-wise at HW.

Well Jones did the same to Machida he hurt him and dropped him then finished him with the sub. He also wobbled Rashad badly and he also had Gus hurt badly as well so he can hurt people similar to Werdum. The Hunt was on very short notice and fighting in Mexico City. Being gassed the way Hunt was makes it very easy for people to KO you. I'm not saying Jones is some KO master but he's not that much worse then Werdum and maybe the extra size will help him get more KO power.

Gotta be honest TS, I didn't see anything new from Jones other than the obvious weight lifting we had seen already.
