How will you consider him looking at his accomplishments ?

1) do you think he was one of the GOATS but was defeated by a bigger man ?
2) do you think he was a great fighter manhandling undersized opponents ?
3) do you think he would have lost in the Aldo rematch and possibly to Frankie, making him just "one of the best" FW ?
4) do you think he would not have handled adversity anyway ?

Others ?

Pretty poor.

Went on a good undefeated streak, loses, and runs from a rematch by retiring.

He knew he was going to be destroyed by Nate, again.

Tarnished with complete bitchnicity.

Very Prince Naseem-ish

Nobody can take from him the fact that he beat one of the best fighters ever.
But he'll never be one of the greats himself if he leaves now, and would probably be remembered as a hype job (lucky punch) in the future, even though he isn't.

I honestly think that Edgar and Aldo would beat him, especially after he lost to Diaz.

Overhyped, one dimensional, fake, master at ducking other fighters, fastest tapper in the UFC, Stockton Slapped, gone runnin'.

Ireland only ever mma world champion. Mmas biggest star. Aldo's biggest fear.

His legacy.......
A lot of fun and a pretty good record to go with it.

We will all miss him! He was a great shot in the arm for the sport!

I just watched all his fights in order on Fight Pass. Sage was right, it's awesome.
And so is McGregor. Do yo thing bruv

Never cared for him at all personally, but no doubt he has an undeniable impact on the business side of MMA. Fighters expectations in terms of marketing and pay are completely different now.

On the actual fighting side, he beat Aldo in a very unsatisfying manner. Not sure he will be remembered for much..

Well he won the belt in 13 seconds, had 0 title defenses and got his arse kicked by Diaz.

He'll be remembered more for his mouth and making a sh#t load of money though. More than anyone ever has. Hell of a promoter.

No legacy really, one single title fight, two if we count one of the most paper-ish interim belts of all time, no defenses, retired with a fair 19-3 record, nothing to really write home about.

He would smash both of them with ease.

It's forever tarnished.

He has a couple of quality wins(obviousy beating Aldo, my favorite fighter is a great acomplishment), but not fighting Frankie severely hurts it.
