I bet his opponents were all like
"He's not that good technically"
While he's pounding their heads in while telling them motivational shit.

So...you want to just ignore the 3-4 times I've now said that it doesn't really matter except that certain people here tout that 25-0 like it's something otherwordly? I've said numerous times now that he's more than proven himself inside the UFC.
I don't "have a problem" with it. They brought him along the way they did, and it worked. I have a problem with people here who demand I be impressed by him beating those scrubs.
Lesnar/Mir is actually a more fair comparison honestly. If Mir's record was one guy after another with that little experience when he was 15 fights into his career, his record would be insanely padded too.
There's lots of fighters who couldn't get through their "scrubs" phase without being defeated.
Conor McGregor got tapped out by Artemij Sitenkov.
Junior Dos Santos got tapped by Joaquim Ferreira.
Anderson Silva lost to Daiju Takase.
Couture got tapped by Valentijn Overeem.
Hughes got beat by Dennis Hallman twice.
There is something to be said for never losing. It shows consistency. It shows that you don't make many mistakes. Anything can happen in MMA, even losing to people that you shouldn't.
Good points. Thanks for expanding on my post.Never drop to your training partners skill set. Keep size difference in consideration but the goal is to push your partners and bring them higher to your level. No one evolves without the challenges of competing against superior skills in the gym. I wouldn’t recommended going hard with partners 30 pounds heavier or lighter anyway. No wonder those guys are always injured.
Yeah dude. Michael Johnson is a shithouse fighter. He's only beaten cans like tony Ferguson so a win over him means nothing...
MJ was coming off of a win when he fought Khabib. That fight was 6 years ago. In lightweight MMA, that is an eternity.
In current times, MJ was chased out of the division, already on this losing streak when facing Khabib, and lost his debut at featherweight by getting summarily tapped out.
Reality is reality.
