Maybe its too much time in the mirror. He gets leg kicked by tkd practitioners, punched alot by wrestlers, taken down at will. Submitted via a hidden past.

Can someone vouch for his boxing, leg kick, wrestling and submission defence?

    He needs some tattoo defense.

yes, he does, but he's fought and beat guys who have a combined total of 17 knockout wins/TKO wins in the ufc, so he's doing fine as it stands i guess... i do suspect that his wide, hands low stance will get him into trouble eventually though

he has a good chin, long reach and power punches, i guess he sees it as an acceptable risk to invite people in to test his chin knowing he can take advantage of that situation better than his opponents can

I completely agree with TS.. not even his diehard fans believe that he has good defence only the once in delusion..

McGregor is a pressure fighter who breaks down his opponents will by overwhelming them.. thats his A, B, C ,D and all of his game..

I just laugh at threads talking about Conor's technical brilliance or what not

I'd agree with you, he's getting away with it because he's fighting smaller men, who don't have enough power to really hurt him except maybe Mendes. When he eventually moves up to LW, he'll get exposed.

    I agree.

Sweet, clean hands with a long static base. But he gets hit alot. Great chin, heart.... But on a defensive level, I suspect its purely head movement.

He's 6-0 in the UFC with 5 finishes, his opponents include the #2/#3 in the world who is known for his great wrestling and power punches,a top 10 striker who is 10-3 in the UFC, a veteran with 19 UFC fights, a fighter who is 6-0 in the UFC since fighting him and a 1 minute knockout against a guy who was 3-0 in the UFC

    Can anyone confirm this?

He scraped past a midget (his words) on 3 weeks notice. Taken down with no resistance. Showed resolve, heart. Mendes landed too much if I was a Conor fan

His defense isnt the best but that doesn't mean he isn't one of the best strikers in MMA.

Yes he did. Then he went on two knees and cried. The facade crumbled

Conor doesn't have poor defense, he just doesn't have great defense.

He suffers from the same phenomenon that a lot of greats do - they have so much more spotlight on them, that when they get touched, people notice 1000% more, and make a much bigger deal out of it.

Sure, if you're the kinda guy that believes showing emotions is a sign of weakness.

Yet again cans on Sherdog show that they don't actually know what they're watching. Yes, Conor occasionally gets hit, as all fighters do, but there's a big difference between getting hit and getting hit CLEAN, which Conor hardly ever does. He's great at rolling with punches. It's ridiculous that people keep 'observing' that he's poor defensively, when his defense is much tighter than most of the division. Including Aldo.

If you want to see a fighter at FW that actually is easy to hit, he's called Frankie Edgar.

Nah. He'd get kicked in the head trying to shoulder roll in to hug him. You can use your legs in MMA. Especially with zero take down threat. And who exactly worth mentioning has Mayweather knocked out?

I know you meant something different but I just don't like the boxing version of lay and pray that is Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
