Lets be honest, Cerrone was a tune up fight for Connor.

Im glad it was over quick and McG didnt take any damage, should make for a quick turn around. Lots of people he can fight. Masvidal, Usman, if he wants to stay at 170. But who knows, Gateje?

He was a tune up fight for Conor, not Connor.

yeah let's hope he doesn't sit on this for another couple years or so

Well yeah. Cowboy is coming off of 2 fights where he got completely wrecked and had no business against someone with Conor's striking ability.

it was the most cherry-picked matchup to date in a career full of them. there was no big name that conor could have beaten more easily than cerrone. there was no reason to even watch this.

Conor hadn't won an MMA fight in around 3 years and is coming back after a long hiatus. Cowboy was a perfectly reasonable opponent.

Super super super easy tune up fight for Mcgregor.

i thought everyone already knew this
Retards didnt. They are crying "fix" no ot wasnt fixed. At the most, it was probably an injured cowboy, we did see him limp a few days ago, was he hurt and decided to fight anyway?? Thats possible. But a fix? No.

He was also a tune up fight for Tony, that's what journeymen are for, they beat up the young lions that aren't good enough for the top 10 and get beat by the elite fighters coming off a lost or a long break.

Yeah but nowhere near as egregious as boxing. Tyson Fury fought 2 no names after his fight with Wilder. Conor's coming off a loss anyways so it wasn't that bad of a match up.

Cowboy I thought you were awesome wow what a fkn looser

AGREED.

If MMA wanted to be better and cleaner than boxing, this was not the case. Dana booked Cowboy to make Mcg look good and a killer against a guy who is still hurt and coming out of 2 losses so he can regain McG's draw ability.
that strategy is very common in boxing and what they did was to make sure Mcg can draw as many casuals as possible; at this point Dana and WME are doing shoot fighting where anything sport related is shit and ranks are worth nothing.

Well obviously that's why he chose Cerrone. It doesn't take away from how badly Cerrone performed though. Worst performance of his career, as pessimistically expected

i completely agree, everyone already knew cerrone was a slow starter and conor took full advantage of that.

The guy got hurt by shoulder strikes. If you get badly hurt by that you should either heal up or retire to avoid more damage.
