LW is very popular rule set in Osaka region (Japan).
I have fought in several LW/MMA fusion events, where 5 sec of ground work was allowed, bouts lasted 1 round x 3 min and the cage was just 5 m in diameter.
Last time I fought was in 2010, but the events are still going strong and quite popular in the underground fight scene.
Here is one of the promotions, called Tsuwamono:
Same promotion was closed down around 2012ish (most fighters were busted for drug traffic and distribution), then the same people formed a new one:
