Let us be real, Conor's skillset is too limited for him to be a dominant champion.

A "dominant champion" meaning 5+ title defenses. Don't get me wrong, Conor is obviously a good and fighter but this was a war and Nate could've easily gotten the nod. If he were to face worse match ups, like Eddie Alvarez, RDA, Frankie, Khabib or Barboza he'd get fucked up. His style is good against fighters who just want to stand and bang but a more complete fighter would certainly secure a win. Conor will forever be a top 10 LW/FW and will never enter the GOAT discussions. Entertaining fighter nonetheless, I predict his retirement within the next 2 years.

The only bad matchup you posted was Khabib. Conor is the favorite against the rest.

Agreed. Anyone at lw with a halfway decent td would have beat him tonight.

I'm surprised he doesn't have more of a right hand. His left is so nasty, I guess.

Anyone that has good takedowns and can keep him there... he's in trouble. But I was fairly impressed with his TDD tonight, even as he appeared gassed he managed to stay up for 24 minutes.

Wrong, Barboza is a better and bigger striker and the rest would wrestlefuck him. Also El Cucuy would finish him. Conor's best bet is to starve and make 145, so he can fight striking based midgets

Stopped reading right here. If it was so easy for Nate to get the nod, he would've done it. Where do they find these people lol.

If Aldo can avoid a big punch, then I see Aldo winning the rematch.

All Conor needs to do is touch dat chin.

@ 170 - No chance.

@ 155 - Would be nice to find out if he'd stop fucking around with Diaz.

@ 145 - He scorched the lot of them.

Drops the most durable guy in MMA on hes ass come more then once. Conor is a beast with that left hand.

Styles make fights, but it's kind of odd that for how good McGregor is, he struggled with Nate twice. Yes, he beat Nate tonight, but it was a very close fight. Nate is good, but certainly not elite, and I'm quite confident he'll never touch gold in the UFC. He wouldn't be top 5 WW, and he wouldn't be top 3 LW. I think even people like Gastelum and Lorenz Larkin thrash Nate. Heck, McGregor, a very powerful 145er and probably more like a 155er, dropped him 3 times in 1.5 rounds. Nate got completely dominated and thoroughly outclassed by RDA and Benson. MMAth doesn't always work, and styles make fights, but for McGregor to struggle with someone like Nate Diaz, who isn't elite or championship material, suggests to me that McGregor probably wouldn't last as a dominant LW champion. FW and LW are both stacked. McGregor is at the top but there's way too many threats for him to be dominant. LW and WW are stacked as well. There's too many better fighters for Nate to even come close to getting the belt. Simply put: tonight's fight was highly entertaining and both fighters are very good, but neither of them would probably be champ, let alone a dominant one, at LW.

Do you live off social welfare? It was a MD and one judge scored it 47-47. Nate could've easily gotten the nod had the judges score round 2 for him, that's literally as close as it gets. Do you think Conor dominated him just like RDA did?

what came out of the fight for me was what I thought was going to be the problem in the 1st one, and that is that nate has no TDs. if that fight had hit the ground even once with any time left in a round, it was over.
