A lot of dumb bullshit is being said about this fight and fighter. Not surprise, seeing the schaudenfraude there was going around when Rousey got starched.

First off.
Putting that much extra mass on you frame in that amount of time is totally detrimental. It's just not a good idea. It's a huge change too, in boxing, its more of a move 2-3 pounds for a fight, move back down for a fight, move back up 2-3 pounds, and so on. Packing that amount of extra muscle and fat on your frame in that short time.. You won't be performing the same, speed etc will be different, and obviously can impact your cardio, like we saw here.
Nate was obviously also quite a bit bigger.

And Nate presented way more stylistic challenges to Conor than I had anticipated. There's absolutely no question that Nates boxing is superior, Conor has no jab, and he's not fighting an open stance matchup here, thus is left straight is going to be more difficult to land and Conors usual fronthand uppercut left straight is going to be way worse, as it opens him up a lot more (He can't get out on an angle to the right after throwing it, like Prince Naseem also used to do), and he keep throwing it and throwing it ineffectually, and got hit with the backstep counter. Other part is that Nate is extremely good at playing with the distance, he leans forward on the at the waist and creates the illusion that he's way closer than he actually is, thus he can draw his head back when you throw, taking the power out of your shot and countering with his own right hook. Johnson fell for this, and Conor fell for this.
When the smaller man has to come in on Conor to get in range to punch, his power is magnified, and he does have brutal power. That's how he starched Aldo etc, because the smaller man has to move forward to hit him, thus he can counter him easily.
And Nate is suprior on the ground, and actually seem extremely strong in this fight.

And all the dumb ineffectual wheelkicks and shit, that eats up a lot of energy. Like Conor said himself, very ineffectual energy wise.

He ofcourse needs to work on his ground game, but that was not what lost him this fight. Though if he wasn't so stubborn and always hunting the knockout, I think he can have success against bigger men. But 170 is too much. His fluidity and movement suffers, adding that much mass.

Conor is still extremely good and has even greater potential, but his style suffers a lot fighting bigger men. He needs to work on his fundamentals more than all the flashy stuff. He has fallen in love with his power, and I hope he realizes this.

Good on Nate, and good on Conor for taking the challenge.

What they hell are they actually doing?

It's acutally a cross between 3 different styles, dance , exercise and a couple awkward strikes . by learning these styles as one. You get yourself a sherdog goat

I think he mentally beat Aldo before the fight and thats why he easily knocked him out in 13 sec

I ain't reading all that bullsh*t. All I know is that this happened:

He didn't "put on extra mass". How is this not obvious? All he did was not cut weight. You have no argument.

Stopped reading at "packing that amount of extra muscle".
