*Lesnar and Dana used Hunt to get $$$*

This thread could be jsut as accurately titled: "Hunt used Dana and Lesnar for money."

It's the relationship fighters have with each other and with promoters.

People call Hunt salty because he talked all the shit in the world, said he knew Brock was roided up but he would still knock him out and that he was going to punch him back to fake wrestling. Lesnar beats him up and all of the sudden he changes his tune. If he was so sure Lesnar was on something and he was so against it why didn't he do something before? He's all "F*ck the UFC" now, why wasn't he like that before? You could tell when the fight ended that he was bitter af for losing to a "fake wrestler" and now is milking the positive test to save face.

Lesnar cheated, he should give his purse back and should get a severe suspension (all cheaters should) but Hunt is leading the way cause he's salty, not cause it's the right thing to do.

I support Hunt in this but to say he was 'used' is ridiculous.

Yes, ped does give an unfair advantage but it doesn't make miracles and is hardly a guarantee that you will win. Lesnar won because of his wrestling and because Hunt was too hesitating.

I don't blame him. Actually knowing missed weight results in fine that goes to opponent I think at least the same should be done for PEDs

Nah, fuck that...the commission should get Brock's fine or whatever so they can research the permanent effects of front kicks to the knee and hire more officials to judge fights that don't know what they're watching (or something).

Yep. This is the right response imo. It's the most balanced approach, and there's already a well accepted precedent for it.

When has a fighter ever got any of the purse of another fighter who failed a drug test test? I don't remember this ever happening before.

Despite the bitching, if you gave that man a time machine he'd take that beating again for the $700K.

And if he didn't, there would be heavyweights lining up around the block to fight Lesnar instead.

Hunt is a jackpot winner, not a victim.

Were you one of the MANY people around here that thought Brock was going to get murdered by Hunt before he won?

This is a pretty lame spin on the story.

I would'vs bet Lesnar has been roided since his first UFC fight. I can't prove it cause USADA didn't tested him those days. What's your point? Is it the same after you get caught?

Hunt actually was speaking out against PED before Brock failed a test, even said it's unfair for fighters that fight clean. But yes, if it was that big of an issue for him, then he shouldn't have accepted the biggest payday he'll ever get, and fought some other guy for his regular wage.

They used Hunt and Hunt knew he was being used, but money talks and Hunt wanted to get paid. Now it's Dana's job to sweep this under the rug, and Dana is pretty good at his job.

Lol. So according to you, let's Nate fight against a roided McGregor. Cause if he complains, there would be all the LW division going for a big purse, and a win.

Damm, MMA is turning into WWE. People believe it's just a show, not a sport.

1. Dana offered a huge $2.5 million purse for JUST ONE FIGHT.

2. Lesnar wasn't interested on a UFC run for two reasons:

- He knew Overeem, Cain, Miocic, Werdum, etc., would expose him again, would hit him in the face, making him dance, turtle, and finally tapping to strikes.

- He knew he was totally roided and was gonna get caught by USADA. He knew he was gonna get suspended for years.

3. Dana didn't care if he was roided or not. He just wanted that juiced gorilla to sell his PPVs. Prove is, the UFC is not taking a single $ from his purse.

4. Mark Hunt was used. He showed against a roided, bigger wrestler. Luckily, Lesnar can't strike. Otherwise he could've been injured.

5. Dana won't talk about the cheater. The cheater won't talk either. They're just waiting for UFC 202 to come so fans would forget about that scam.

And Lesnar/WWE noobs call Hunt salty. If a roided Hunt would've beaten their roided god, they would be as annoying as it can get here on Sherdog.

Mark Hunt shoukd receive a part of Lesnar's purse. Or at leadt the UFC should fine Lesnar and take a big part of hus purse, so any other future MMA fighter would know that being a cheater wouldn't be a good business.
Hunt got paid so shut the fuck up.

No. Roids or not, Hunt lucked out in getting that fight. He made more than he ever would've with any other fight.

Its Hunt's fault for not winning. He spent half the fight standing with Lesnar and wasted it.

For the record, cheaters should not get paid, 2 year suspension for first offense, life time ban second time. The only way to clean up the sport is the overkill with the penalties.

As for Hunt and Lesnar. Hunt is leading the movement and people are praising him for it but the truth is he's not doing it because he wants to clean the sport, he's salty because he lost to a wwe guy. You said WWE noobs/Lesnar nuthuggers were salty, it's the other way around. Before the fight roids were a non-issue, after the fight they are all the issue. Be consistent, if Mark was all against dirty fighters because of the OBVIOUS health reason, then don't take the fight. He got paid a lot of money, lost and is now looking to save face.

p.d: I like Hunt, always have. Nice guy, fun fighter but he's salty.

before the fight everyone was saying how mark hunt was going to walk off KO Lesnar and send him back to fake wrestling and how bad of a match up it was for Lesnar and now they are all crying bitch boys. watch the videos, mark hunt already knew way ahead of time that he was going to be fighting brock lesnar for ufc 200.

also UFC IS A PROMOTER they can't fine any fighters, they don't have that kind of power you fucking moron

No, Conor is not Brock. Everyone knew the score with Brock. It's all Hunt talked about in the lead up to the fight, and he fought him anyway because it was the biggest payday of his life.

To now pretend that he's some sort of victim is a bit of a joke, imo. He'd fight Brock again tomorrow if Dana put another $700K on the table.

When has a fighter ever got any of the purse of another fighter who failed a drug test test? I don't remember this ever happening before.

Fighters are regularly given a small percentage of the purse of another fighter who fails to comply with the fight conditions by missing weight. That provides a straightforward model for how to deal with these situations.

All we are really arguing about is where the money Brock will be fined goes. I think it is far more reasonable to give it to the guy he was clobbering with hammerfists than to some suit on the AC.

of course hunt got set up. he knew it from the get go though. people are bashing hunt due to him claiming lesnar was roided before the fight and then going nuts after the fight when the actual tests come back positive.

i think hunt should be pissed. it's one thing to throw an allegation at someone, but when that allegation comes back with evidence. that's when you scream from the mountain tops.

hunt knows he isn't getting any of lesnar's money. the UFC cannot dock lesnar any money unless they took him to court. which they won't. lesnar had a great contract where he got a flat $2.5 million to show with no win bonus. the UFC could of taken the win bonus away, but can't touch the $2.5 million. only the athletic commission can fine him a percentage of that. the UFC cannot dock any of lesnar's PPV percentage either and the athletic commission can't touch that either.

go back and look at anderson vs. nick. both failed tests got suspended and fined their show money. both received all their PPV percentage cuts.

lesnar is the smartest person in the room.

Before the fight Mark Hunt was a freight train that was gonna run through the cheap china made chin of Brock Lesnar
After the fight Poor little Mark Hunt is just an innocent little pawn thatw as used like a puppet by the big bad evil Dana and Brock to further their scheme
