Update: Way better footage in this one. You can see clearly the alpha male didn't hesitate once the Leopard came charging in, he then proceeded to charge at the Leopard. There even other male Baboons who were further out, ready to defend their group.

Funny thing is that large male baboon has a similar bite strength to the Leopard and teeth to match, large males have been known to take on Leopards and win.

Leopards and Baboons are enemies in the wild and will catch and kill each others young on sight.

It's comparable to a female or small male, it's not going to defeat a large male in it's prime unless it gets lucky.



That's going to take a leopards throat out in one bite, they can hold a leopard long enough. They kill large hunting dogs easy by grabbing them.

Some guys I knew that used to have farm land in South Africa would kill them because they would kill their guard dogs, he had 3 ridgebacks and 2 rottweilers, lost 2 to Baboons, most evil way to kill a Baboon is shot it in the gut with a .22 and they pull out their own intestines trying to get the bullet out.......

Usually 1 v 1 a leopard will fuck up most things. I mean it's a pretty large cat. They can pounce across the octagon before a fighter could throw a single strike. That one was terribly outnumbered though. I still reckon it survived somehow.
