This fight would be great for Masvidal. It's sort of a big fight and will probably sell. Ranking wise and career wise it would be very smart of Masvidal to accept. It's a winnable fight over a guy in the Top 5.

Diaz caught Edwards 24 minutes into a 25 minute fight, it's being blown out of proportion big time. Edwards looked very good & defensively responsible up until that point, Masvidal ain't gonna do nothing.

Diaz ain't Mas though. Mas is literally better everywhere.

Interesting fight, they have history, gives Leon another big name so if he wins he cant be denied next title shot and for Masvidal its gonna be hard to get another Usman title shot but if he can beat Leon he's not far off. And if Colby wins title then Masvidal would be right there.

I said a couple of weeks ago that Edwards/Masvidal should be booked as a Co-main Event on the same card as Covington/Usman, in New York's November card. Besides if Colby gets injured, you can have Edwards jump in and face Usman. If Usman gets injured, Masvisal can jump in to face Colby. UFC should always prepare for contingencies as well. Besides, if Leon wins, he can be next in line for the title. He just cannot sit around for 7 months. He could use a big name like Masvidal on his resume.
