I bought my kids tons of Legos because they are literally the only toy for small kids that is fun for adults to play with.

If I'm going to sit there playing with kid toys, it had better be Legos.

That said, the sets that you build like models are lame, tons of free use bricks are the way to go.

I always felt that way as a kid too, but I could never find sets of just lots of blocks.
