LEGIO PROELIUM -- LT'S GoDL and Overhead Team Log

So, I tested today my 1rm deadlift. It's 130kg
[YT]L86-YvFUVJY[/YT]

@Legio If you want to update the first page, starting maxes: deadlift 130kg - SOHP 50kg

Well done! If you sort your form out you're definitely going to pull more, because right now it looks almost like a stiff-legged DL. Try not to let your hips shoot up so much, because your set up doesn't look so bad at all.

Also, are you lifting in your bedroom?

I never pulled that much so it's normal that my form is ugly. Usually what I do is 5 warm-up sets and 1x5 working set. I will working on my form. Also it is time to order some chalk because I will need it in the future.

Yes I am lifting in my bedroom:cool:

--Pressing felt pretty good today. I might have hung out in some challenging balance poses a bit too long in Yoga earlier so I was expecting my shoulders to be a little tired but I felt solid. I came in wanting to hit 170 and did exactly that so, that's good.

--Forgot to grab my dip/chin belt so I just did BW chins. Last few on the last set were difficult, that's about it.

I was hoping to get some input on my squat technique. This is my attempts at a low bar squat. I know the angle isn't optimal, but any possible comments on form would be appreciated. I know I can do a much better job of pushing my knees out.

That was really pretty man. Depth was good, arch never collapsed, you look tight. Very narrow stance, kinda looked like how Kesowa squats.

Had a deadlift and push press workout last week but life has been pretty busy so I didn't get to log them. Deadlift workout went well. Push press workout felt heavier than it should have but I'm not that concerned with it.

I am working on changing my squat form a bit. I noticed when I recorded my squat workout with Jester that I sit back alot more than I had thought and it makes it hard to hit the depth I want. I recorded the third top set of this session and I think it looks much better. I'll get all these videos up once I figure out how to get them from my phone to my youtube channel.

Tonight's workout went well and felt good.

I was hoping to get some input

I love the Canadian accents. Probably not the input you're looking for but it's all I got. I thought the squats looked good and the only thing I noticed was the knees which you saw yourself.

Edit: Also I love the av man.

Thanks, vlad. Now that you point it out, I do see some similarities to Keo since I seem to prefer a narrow stance with the low bar.

@LA, I don't know what you're talking a'boot. And I like the av too: crisp, clean and sharp, eh.

Took a deload on pressing tonight. 135x5x3 plus several sets at 95 and 45 before and after. Just keeping the form tight and trying to slowly up overall volume in my routine.

Deadlift
62.5kgx5
77.5kgx5
92.5kgx3
107,5kgx3
125kgx3
140kgx3
155kgx1x3

Squats
50kgx5
62.5kgx5
92.5kgx5

Squats
100 x 5 x 5 (Rep PR)

Curls
who cares x 10 x 5

Snatch grip SOHP
40 x 6
40 x 7
40 x 6
40 x 8

Notes
SOHP felt good with the snatch grip, and I'm not taking the programming too seriously right now, just trying to see what feels comfortable. I've been trying to squat every session, adding 2.5kg every time. So far it feels great and today was a rep PR for me. If I fail my 5 x 5 reps, I'll move to 4 x 6, then 3 x 8 etc. until I hit my ceiling and have to reset. Apparently there are a couple of lifters on here that have had success using this method, and right now I'm enjoying the extra volume.

You look very like a guy from my work.

However, he's weak as shit so you couldn't possibly be the same person.

Going to see a specialist about my back. Report back later.

Hope it's good news mate.

I'm going to have to pull out of the competition. I won't be able to max out on any lifts for a good long while, and may never be able to OH press again.

I have what's called Isthmic Spondylolisthesis. apparently it's the most common reason for back pain in teen athletes, specifically football lineman, wrestlers( of which I am) and gymnasts( of which I sort of am). I won't be able to max out on any lift for a while, and may never be able to OH press without aggravating the injury.

I'll still be able to lift and wrestle and etc... once my back is fully healed, but I won't be able to fulfill my job as a member of this team.

Very sorry Guys :(

Woah.... all the best Modern Warrior1.

Updated my log for DL and OHP.

Unlucky mate, sorry you have to leave but if it's putting your health at risk then there's absolutely no question of continuing.

How do you deal with the injury/condition - NSAIDs?

Hope all heals well MW.

If we get to choose the reserve I think baby eater should get some pretty strong consideration.

Best of luck, MW.

I support the BE choice.
