Bummer: High Master Shooter Kernice Landry passed away early this morning.

This fellow was one of the three pillars that greatly influenced my shooting over the years.

From him I learned the Value of: "Absolute Momentary Concentration." The idea that to be totally present at the very moment it matters, is enough.

I learned that watching him drill 10 after 10, offhand at 200 yards while telling a string of jokes, pausing just long enough to make the next shot then resume his tale. It was an Ah-Ha moment for me as at the time I was struggling trying to concentrate for 20 consecutive shots over 20 minutes.

If you watched his actions they always revealed something truthful and helpful to rifle mastery. If you tried to ask, you'd likely get it only in the form of a joke, or misdirection. Dude was like a Zen Master in the regard.

RIP Kernice.
