Social Learning language takes so much effort

Also, watch TV in the language you want to learn. It's a great way to learn, IMO. Doesn't have to be interesting TV either. You won't really be able to follow it completely anyway.

I wonder how many languages @TidWell spoke, shame we will never get to ask him
<{anton}>

Did he talk shit about Pacquao again?

I heard on the news that the guy is trying to become the president of Philipines.

Pac-Man bless.

Good riddance.

Well I'll give you a hint, his thread about Manny Pacquaio in the War Room got deleted at the same time he got banned.

Oh right, I heard he has a thing about Pacquaio, right? Never seen him post about it though. Was he being very racist?

He made an entire topic branding Pacquiao homophobic and socialist (homophobic I can get, but not socialist lol). It was up for a day or two he got warned in it by a mod and then I went to see how the topic was going and noticed it was gone and so was Tiddles. No real loss however. I didn't see if he posted anything new to contribute to it however.

That's cool he was a weirdo, much like OP

You fools it is harder than you think that is why few people master 3 let alone or 5. And why the genuises top out around 10 to 15 languages in mastery and usually they hit major family of languages

Screw these fakes like Beni who are known frauds. Knowing A1 or a2 in 7 languages doesnt make you fluent.

Fluent seems to mean different things to different people. To me, being fluent should mean that you speak the language as well as a native speaker. I've known several people who thought they spoke fluent English that could barely be understood. Language is a difficult thing to learn. There are people that learn languages very easily and can speak without any accent or can speak them with various accents.

I had to contact Parker hydraulics in Sweden and I wondered how navigating the language would be. The person who answered the phone in Swedish immediately switched to English when she heard me. I would have sworn that the man that I was transferred to was from the Midwest US. I even asked him. He said he was born and raised in Sweden. He explained that there are about 17 different languages spoken in the area surrounding Sweden and it isn't possible to learn them all so many countries chose to learn English so it can be used as a common language.

That’s unfortunate.

Dude was doing well it seemed kicking the Pac addiction.
Had no issues with him, he could be weird, but we all can be.
Didn’t like how he’d troll/instigate & play victim when things took their course a few times.

For as important as this place was too him, incredibly stupid to keep doing the shit that got him banned the first time.

All In all I liked what he brought to Mayberry.
Too bad he couldnt control himself.
Pac obsession is beyond strange.

Spending hours regularly for years of own personal/time life dedicated to a Filipino boxer/senator researching dissecting his beliefs & preferences to hate on.

Only To get banned from a social outlet he had invested a lot of himself in & enjoyed as part of his daily life. I don’t see the reward or benefit.

I make light of it, but hope guy gets a grip on that.

Your standard is quite high. I say fluent is a B2 level speaker of course it is debated. B2 being high intermediate under the European standard of language level rating

According to one source, there are five stages of SLA and developing fluency:[17][better source needed]

  1. Pre-production OR Silent/receptive
  2. Early production
  3. Speech emergence
  4. Intermediate fluency
  5. Advanced fluency.

I think the learning is pretty fun and you can get to a very basic level pretty quickly. The thing that sucks is how you forget absolutely everything if you stop learning for like a year.

I'm almost convinced @Oceanmachine is actually a Tidwell alt lmao
nah tiddy was way to feminine in the way he took hits and responded. he was most likely a dude with no dad raised by strong loudmouthed women so he developed feminine ways to defend himself.

Oceanmachine is just a weirdo. he was southofthe andes and he was another poster before that who had a an epic meltdown over a gf in college and got run out over that shit and he has slowly become more and more red pill till he became a muslim... LOL
