Leading brazilian presidential candidate stabed by leftist

Is this the guy that got in trouble for saying his opponent was too ugly to rape?
That's not exactly true. He was talking to a couple of reporters about a psychopath teen that tortured, raped and killed a young couple when she decided to interrupt the interview to actually defend the criminal. I know, that sounds really bizarre. She's known for being over the top with her human rights activism. Anyway, they start arguing and at one point she calls Bolsonaro rapist (WTF?) and he naturally gets super pissed. They continue to argue and she continues to call him rapist, that's when he says "you're not even worthy of being raped." Implying she's so utterly disgusting that nobody would want to rape her. It's a fucking ugly thing to say but it was said after she attacked him and called him rapist a few times. Imo he fell into a trap, she's the overly dramatic type that likes to drive people insane.

the worst was the bailout of banks and the shitty auto industry. set a dangerous precedent

No, the dangerous precedent was rolling back the regulations put on the finance industry after they were bailed out.

You can’t be serious.

Bill Clinton literally had a sham charity set up so he could receive donations anonymously, and he was a rapist.

Good lord, you're stupid. Also, shame on @Rod1 for not taking you to task and leaving me to do it.

(1) Donations to the Clinton Foundation are not any more anonymous than any other foundation, and it is Democrats who have continually tried to make nonprofit donations and campaign contributions more transparent by upping reporting requirements, while Republicans (and their conservative jurists) are the ones who perennially seek to make them more opaque and thereby expedite corruption.

(2) The Clinton Foundation was founded in 1997, but didn't branch outside of Little Rock until 2001, after Bill was no longer president.

(3) There are just as many accusations of sexual misconduct against Donald Trump as there are against Bill Clinton.
(3)(a) Being "a rapist" has absolutely nothing to do with corruption

(4) Actual organizations specializing in analysis of corruption (like the Sunlight Foundation) have found Trump to harbor exponentially more conflicts of interest (read: actual evidence of corruption) than any other president analyzed.
(4)(a) Trump has also routinely been criticized as being far less transparent than his predecessors

(5) Trump has repeatedly passed policies that allow corruption and corporate malfeasance to the detriment of consumers, pensioners, taxpayers, and employees, while Clinton passed several laws increasing oversight and limiting corruption.

(6) Trump's executive appointments have completely strayed from the precedent of appointing area experts that can properly weigh the interests of both industries and citizens, and opted instead for appointing industry lobbyists and executives interested only in looting the nation and ripping off citizens for the benefit of industry (see: DeVos, Mnuchin, Perry).

(7) Trump is the first president in years not to release his tax returns.

(8) Trump is the first president to publicly lobby his own Justice Department to not prosecute criminals that are members of his own party.

(9) Trump has maintained business dealings with countries with whom he has had diplomatic relations. https://money.cnn.com/2018/05/15/ne...ganization-indonesia-china-project/index.html

(10) Trump has openly promoted his brand and the brands of his children using his office.

Fuck, I can go on, man.

NO, the real dangerous precedent was saving the country from completely economic collapse - not bringing it to the brink in the first place.

OMG, Trump didn’t release his tax return???

<DCrying>

If that’s your evidence, let’s just say your argument isn’t very good.

Oh yeah, there’s a reason the Clintons charity was on the watchdog list before they cleaned up the books for her failed presidential attempt. I encourage everyone to look into their own reported numbers prior to cleaning up the books. They donated sinfully little money to the actual needy.

Soooo, full deflection. You're not even going to try to argue any of the points. You'll just pick one, post a GIF, and pat yourself on the back for having not learned a thing.

Typical.

Pics?

It's so weird thinking that major political candidates would be exposed to that degree in public. That would never happen in the US.

Anyways, fuck this guy. Too bad he didn't bleed out. Dude's policies are like a combination of Salman Al-Saud, Fulgencio Batista, and Donald Trump: equal parts wonky religious conservatism, shameless rich bootlicking, and reductive strong man fetishism.

@HomerThompson @Kafir-kun you seriously are liking this post that condones violence as a means of politics?

With Lula taken out of the picture? its a possibility i guess.

How hard is he on corruption though?

He's Brazilian, so probably soft as fuck on corruption.............

You are shameless, a talking puppet for politicians.

We don't need gun control. we need liberal control.

Trump is also an outsider, and he is probably the most corrupt president in US history.

The issue i see with populists is that they tend to focus on emotions, things like being "tough on crime" while ignoring the billions being stolen by politicians.

how is he the most corrupt? There are even supposedly senior officials in his cabinet trying to undermine him. If he was doing all this illegal/corrupt stuff and colluding with enemies, why doesn't this mole(s) document it and come out with the evidence?

If you actually voted in the last few ellections you would not ask for a source

https://veja.abril.com.br/blog/rein...ra-que-o-eleitor-e-o-culpado-por-suas-falhas/

https://br.noticias.yahoo.com/datafolha-erra-mais-que-ibope-em-pesquisas-no-1º-turno-234630119.html

Dilma was supposed to win by a confortable margin but was in the end a close decision, Doria was supposed to have a second turn but won in the first turn, the mistakes in other states have 10/5 points in last elections. Just read up

The amount of positive posts for Bolsonaro, how much he gets talked about over other candidates tell me Ibope and folha are at it again

He has 2 years in office and now is the most corrupt ever lol the guy can't even eat McDonald's at night without people writing about.

I would point out that once again the rise of the popularist far right is in large part down to the establishment looking to make sure potentially more left wing opponents can't make it to the ballot box at all with questionable arguably politically motivated(at the very least in terms of "justice for some") charges.

A lot of those who claim to be against the far right aren't seeing the lessons from history that ultimately the rich and the powerful in the establishment will always tend to preffer such politics over the left, if a change to the status quo is threated they'll always preffer a shift to the right.

Seems what goes on in the US reflects all over the world, in Brazil the leading left figure is in jail yet he still wrote his names in the election and forced another left party candidate to withdraw to be an option for his vice candidate in case his canditacy was barraged, which was.

Its a mess
