First off was impressed by Robbie last night, surprised he nearly got KO'd in the third.
Overall quality performance and I think he should get a rematch now if Gus did.

Anyway, point of the thread. Lawlor is humble and quiet and a yes man it would seem.
It is classy taking defeats like he does and doing his talking in the ring however....

I think it almost certainly counts against him in regards to getting title shots and being treated with the respect he deserves. Needs to start talking some trash!!

His voice sounds like a 12 year old. He needs to keep acting the way he's acting now

His psycho laughs during the Hendricks fight and during the Ellenberger fight when he got taken down are what make me a bigger Lawler fan.

Im just not a fan of it, Look at Sonnen. That is a prime example of what a bit of personality, charisma and a big mouth can do for you title shot wise.

It would make Lawler the draw he deserves to be.

He is my favourite fighter in the UFC presently. Awesome guy.
    Refuses to go to ground.

He should have got an instant rematch, thats what im talking about.
He should have his rematch now at the latest. He is going to have to go at least 1 more fight for a rematch.
Everyone knows that Hendricks fight should have been scored a draw at least but lets not go there.

When he was in his corner laughing during the Rory fight he said something to the effect of "I stole his kick lol, it's mine now". His personality is great.

Thats not the point of the thread.

Basically if Sonnen lost in Lawlers position do you think hed be waiting for a rematch still?
Even Mcgregor would have gotten it by now.

Robbie said he wants the title back but it seems like he doesn't really care one way or the other lol.

I think the guy has one of the best personalities in MMA today! Just a quieter, old school fighter through and through!
And on top of that his fighting like I imagine a lion would fight for his territory!

Lawler is the man. He's been around for a long time and put in alot of work. He'll go down in the Irish0331 books as being one on my favorites.

I've been a big fan of Lawlers for a while now!! He is a blue collar fighter, in that he works hard, doesn't run his mouth, and let his actions speak for him. How can you not love this guy? Plus he doesn't point fight like a lot of the UFC guys do nowadays. He has good wrastlen, but chooses to keep it standing.

If condit didnt get hurt, I would of loved to seen Lawler vs Condit.....but perhaps now it should be Lombard vs Lawler.........a fight agaist M Brown would be a step back for Lawlor, although it would a awesome fight for him.

Everyone? Have you seen the polls? Even with this site filled with people that outright hate Hendricks, he won on the polls by a huge margin, only a small minority of idiots thought that Lawler won that fight. It was a crystal clear 48-47 win for Hendricks. Having said that Lawler is one hell of a beast and is definitely capable of defeating Hendricks in a rematch.

Again nobodys discussing the result of that decision.

Just the effect of Lawlors "serene" personality in regards to his title shots.

Like I said Sonnen would not be waiting for a shot at this point in time if hed lost to Hendricks a la Lawler.
