Very entertaining fight but definitely not fight of the year. Alavarez-Chandler was my pick with Hendo-Shogun coming in second. I don't understand how that gets fight of the year over the others.

Edit: choices were Hendo-Shogun, Alvarez-Chandler, Ellenberger-Sanchez, KZ-Poirier and Varner-lauzon.

Alvarez/Chandler happened 11/19/2011. Not 2012. Not the 29th.

Hendo/Shogun happened the same night, on November 19th. Again, 2011.

if i believe correctly wasn't hen do shogun part of the 2011 campaign?

Hendo shogun was the best in 2011. Lauzon and Varner was best in 2012.

Alvarez/Chandler happened 11/29/2011, dude.

Hendo/Shogun happened ten days earlier, on November 19th. Again, 2011.

Both of those fights were canidates for fight of year. Don't know If any of you actually saw the choices.

It definitely was. It was a great back and forth war. KZ/Poirier was a little too one sided for my taste but It was an exciting fight still.

Forgot to name the choices.

Why would they have fights from 2011 as choices to pick from that makes no sense?! Lauzon vs Varner or Miller were my picks for FOTY.

Varner/Lauzon was definitely fight of the year.

They happened n the same gotdamn night.

And the MMA Awards have stupid ass timeframes so that's why he's talking bout those fights.

Yeah, it was the 19th, not the 29th. My bad, but still, my point was that they took place in late 2011.

They got it right
