I don't often say this but I haven't seen a fighter lose his ability to fight the way Lauzon has since Bj Penn. I'm a huge fan of his but he just can't function the way he used to. He always gasses, he always looks lost in there, no defense. He just doesn't seem like the same person he used to be. He used to be sharp, now he freezes up, looks chinny, doesn't have a good game plan, just can't execute anymore.

Agree 100%. He was done a few fights ago. Guy needs to hang it up for his health.

Im not a fan but i respect lauzons heart and balls :D . Yea he looks tired by the 2nd minute every round now and stops moving circling throwing combinations hes just a shell of his former self. Nothing to be ashamed of guy was in some fucking great fights.

I always enjoy watching the man fight but I agree, its time to hang it up. Too many wars over the years.

He’s trash. A poor mans Ken Flo. And that’s pretty poor mans.

he is one ghoulish looking motherfucker. that being said, he is an absolute warrior. might be the toughest mofo to ever fight in the ufc lw division. nates up there too. hes had a good career, hes made a ton in bonuses. i hope he has money saved up to help him in his future endeavours.

God I hate these threads. Let the fighter decide when they want to retire. This is how these guys feed their families. Its like telling someone to quit their job. These guys have bills.

Joe obviously loves it I mean he has a BS in computer science and coulda been a millionaire in silicon valley with his work ethic and credentials - I say let him bang.

LOL
You mean a homeless code monkey in silicon valley making $50/year living in his car.

Just came here to say this. Jesus man there's GOT to be an easier way to earn a living than dying of blunt force trauma. Jesus fuck. Beating this guy is no longer an accomplishment - it's a crime.

Normal age 34, fighting age 80.

Time to hang em up Joe. No shame with that career.

I agree. Poor Joe one of my all time favorites

And will still have bills when they're 50 and can't function because of brain damage and become a burden on their family instead of a provider. No one can be an athlete their entire career, there has to be a plan B down the line sometime.
