There's still a tab for new posts which pretty much works the same way. I personally like it with that banner gone.

I can't remember if I had it before I was a plat. I don't think I did. As said, Firefox with ABP deals with a lot of stuff, a lot of the time automatically.

There is another add-on for Firefox called "Remove Item Permanently", or RIP for short. This will allow you to select actual html code snippets, and remove them from either a single page or the entire domain.

But in all honesty, pony up $3 a month, and forgo all the bullshit of trying to rid them by hand.

I did manage to remove the banner using the RIP add-on, but it didn't make the rest of the page wider (which was what I was really after). Thanks for the tip though.

After installing the RIP add-on, you simply right-click and select 'remove this permanently'... for anything and everything beyond the edge of this box -------->
