Guys who are his height who have good hands and can hit hard cause problems for Jones. He was literally running away when Reyes got him in boxing range.

Rashad, Vitor, Rampage etc... are too short to close distance on Jones to land their power shots. Reyes didn't have this problem, he easily got inside on Jones and landed some good shots. Gustaffsson also showed this, except he isn't quite as fast as Reyes (but he still had major success hitting Jones in 1st fight).

HW is basically a suicide mission for Jones. Jon showed a great chin last night taking Reyes' shots but could he really take Stipe or Ngannou's shots? Doubt it.

This has been common knowledge since the Gustafsson fight...

But even though his physical advantages have been taken away in several fights, he digs deep and finds a way to win.

Well you're not wrong. I've never wondered why he won't move up to hw. As egotistical as he is, if he thought he could do it, he would have by now. His frame gives him an advantage over most at lhw and he knows that. He loses that advantage if he moves up. Not only that, he lacks the striking power to keep those guys off of him.

Jones used to clinch and manhandle guys who closed the distance. He isn't anywhere near as strong anymore.

People forget how strong Jones used to be. Chael said it was like fighting a bear. It's USADA.

He had his arms clasped around a gased Reyes many times and still only got 1 out of 7 TDs. When Weidman and Volkan both got him down while he was fresh...

His style hasn’t evolved and the game is catching up to him.

Yeah, probably by bribing the judges. He had a huge physical advantage over a hobbled Santos and still had to fall back on corrupt judging.

Exactly. Francis N is terrifying and could smoke him in literally seconds. He has better boxing than Jon too. Stipe would box his face off for a few rounds and then likely KO him. HW DC is still short, but hits harder big than when he cuts to 205 [and we know he can get inside on Jon]. Jon should stay at LHW.

Jones is a medium big LHW

    Ngannou is a super HW

I would even favour Greg Hardy and Volkov vs Jones.
